For a detail oriented person with no experience with tickets and courts, the communication leading up to the trial from the coordinator could have been better.

To simplify your experience, I recommend asking them upfront about their process - request regular check-ins and status updates and definitely asking to speak with the attorney assigned to your case. If possible go in person day of trial so the attorney can ask you questions and have your case top of mind. Although it was optional, I thought it was helpful to discuss the case so it was fresh in Erica's mind the day of trial. She had 5 cases in front of the judge and when my turn arrived, I was glad we had spoken.
