The UPS Store Whittier - Whittier, California

So I needed to do a background check and found this location that is open 6 days a week. They take walk ins and it was with and easy; however, the cost was a bit expensive. The staff were super friendly and very helpful to ask their customers. It’s a super small location and a warehouse kinda feel when you walk in. The place was a bit hard to initially find as the gps took me to a nearby location but I called and they gave me more specific directions.

Store is very busy first thing in the morning and after 4 pm but very easy to get in and out quick in off periods, Louis is very helpful, offers home notary service and his clerk Cathy is very friendly and helpfup

I went in wanting to ship out a pc but the cost of shipping ended up being so high ($250!). Thankfully however, they were able to change the dimensions of the box and were able to bring it down to 150! They were such a great help to me and I recommend if anyone needs to ship anything, go with these guys!

Is unusual to find store vendors these days who take the time to make someone feel welcome and provide personal service. Louis was working with a woman when I came in who was very upset and yelling at him because he wouldn’t take a free return that same to her through the regular mail- USPS. He repeatedly and calmly explained why he couldn’t- even though she continued to yell and finally swore at him and walked out. Silliness. Later, I went back for another shipment. Again, same courteous service- from everyone behind the counter to each customer in their busy store. I’m definitely a satisfied customer.

This is the 3rd time I go to the ups store at the quad,
And every time it was a disappointment, just like I told the worker 3 out of 3 times I've came to this store, you always have a excuse on not to help me print a label..
FedEx across the street of Whittier bl never turned me down, just like ups on Colima.

On Wednesday evening April 24, 2024 I arrived at the Whittier store. There was a lone employee, Bill I believe was his name, was tied up helping 2 other customers with their shipping needs. I must also mention that I walked in at approximately 8:57 pm, 3 minutes before closing. He could see that I wasn't just dropping off a prepaid package and that I would require his assistance. If I'd been in Bill's shoes I probably would have been just a bit deflated, especially if my plans for the evening required that I leave work at the appropriate clock out time.

If Bill was annoyed or bothered or stressed in any way he sure didn't let any of the 3 customers notice. He maintained a professional and courteous demeanor as he greeted and said "hello sir. I'll be with as soon as I'm done helping these young ladies."

By the time he was done with the 2 customers before me it was about 9:10-9:15 pm. My shipping details were a bit complicated as I required overnight service, insurance, and re-packaging of the contents because I forgot to leave the packaging slip inside of the already sealed box. Bill took the time to deal with the package, while working on finding the best service available, while searching for any available discounts. I was not expecting a $175+ charge for even overnight service. 2 day service would have almost certainly insured my pkg arrives a day late. He found a discount or two I qualified for and boy did that make that pill a much easier one to swallow. He saved me about $38! He also educated me on a few things like insurance for example.

I didn't ask him to any of what he did for me. He certainly would have had the shop locked and on his way home before we were halfway into it. And not once did he display (thru body language or verbally) a hint of annoyance, losing patience, or
anger. In fact, he maintained a completely professional demeanor throughout our contact. He was also quite courteous and friendly as he introduced some light humor to bring some levity into the environment. I cannot say enough about Bill and his professional excellence in representing the UPS Whittier #1578 store, the UPS organization as a whole, and himself through excellence on several levels.

I hope he is recognized by the store and UPS as such and it is employees like Bill that will make me return to this store time after time for all my shipping needs. No matter how out of the way the Whittier store is. Bill is quite the unicorn! Sadly, i do not say that in jest. It is the truth. Excellent customer service of any kind is a rarity and appears to be just about extinct. But it's because of people like Bill that I hold out for hope.

It is my sincere suggestion that Bill be recognized by UPS Store management and by the UPS organization as a vital cog in each organization's mission. A vision in which achieving true excellence can only occur when each member can see he or she is important, has value, and truly participates in the decision making process.

My experience with sending two boxes with The Ups store has been completely worry-free and pleasant.
The staff at all times very professional and courteous. A worker named Louis(160823) gave me a five-star service, picking up one of my packages and helping me with the shipping process.
Great store! And great staff!

Like anyone else, I hate having to ship my returns back to Amazon. I’m never sure what information to include or how best to ship an open package. Thankfully my favorite UPS store is always available to help. The UPS store #1578 located at 18802 Whittier Blvd
in the Quad shopping center in Whittier, is always my first choice when it comes to handling my Amazon returns. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about changes in shipping policies that could affect arrival times. Saving me much aggravation and of course time and gas. There are a lot of UPS stores and some are better than others unfortunately, but make no mistake, this place is a gem!
