I had inquired about an apartment but said I would apply in two days. Ms. Bowman told me that would be fine.

She did respond very quickly to the initial inquiry.

Two days came and went, and I applied and paid the fee to apply with a background check. After doing that, Sally was nice enough to respond to me and say "So sorry, but a lease was signed last night."

So it ended up being a total waste of time and money. I understand the market is insane and it's not a problem that the apartment was taken, but I was clearly interested in it. A simple email saying that the apartment was taken would've sufficed before I spent the time and money filling out the application.

I'm glad others have had good experiences, I just can't say the same.
