Texas State Paralegals failed to render services as promised. They repeatedly provided completion timelines and then ghosted me (7+ times) over a month and a half. I ultimately switched to a different provider to complete my case. When I told them I was moving to another provider and asked for my money back, they produced half-baked documents and cited a no-refund policy.

Please do not waste your money! I paid for services I did not receive. I did most of the work myself since I moved from another state and had the paperwork already completed. I sent numerous emails, texts, and called Alana with no responses over a two month period. Alana’s assistant, Joy, would respond saying “something unforeseen came up, we’re working on your case, Alana will respond soon”. I heard nothing from Alana. We were way past the waiting period. All Alana had to do was file the final agreed upon decree with the court so it would be final in 30 days. She never did but was sure quick to take my money. I printed the paperwork myself and went to the courthouse. After explaining my situation and how Alana wouldn’t respond to my calls, texts, or emails, showed this to the clerk, the Judge signed my decree the next day and finalized my divorce then and there. Do not waste your time or money with these people!! I, too, have asked for a refund. Again, no response. Shocking! I’m sure instead of responding to me directly, they will use this format to display a poor excuse to make themselves look better. I will share emails, texts, and call logs if that is the case. Alana is unprofessional, does not provide a service, and is a complete fraud. Save your money!

Worst place ever. Joy is rude and is never pleasant. Joy always sounds annoyed when talking to customers. Alana is a joke. She spends more time talking of nonsense and not working on her paid customers cases which she does as a side job. As a result, no ones case is important. Be prepared to wait forever for a single document prepared and then filed. They lack tact and attention to detail. Read your documents before signing. Do not trust these subpar women to do anything for you. I doubt there is really an attorney working with them. Ask to speak to the attorney whom Alana claims she will refer to when filing out your paperwork. There’s no attorney working with them. I paid money to these crooks and did not get the documents I requested filed. Texas State Paralegals is operated by two women. Yep, that’s it. They are just bad all around. Don’t let them steal more money from you when they set up your e-file account. Surprisingly my e-file account was not accessible on the courts e-file website. They created some third party account to charge me for filling my docs. The site allowed Texas State Paralegals to just take so much money out of my account and when I asked for filing receipts for these charges they could not show them. Take your hard earned money elsewhere. Your case is better in your own hands than with Texas State Paralegals. Or just get a lawyer. What a waste of money.

Alana provided excellent service and has done a very thorough job. Although she continues to perform in a very professional manner she is also very much like the girl next door. Easy to speak to and answers any questions one might have. She was always responsive to my every need and went above and beyond what her normal responsibilities would be. I highly recommend this firm and in particular this young woman.

I usually wouldn't go out of my way to write a review. Unfortunately I feel that it is important that my experience is shared.
Initially when I contacted Alana we discussed getting juvenile charges dropped. This was in late 2019 I believe. Constantly being reassured that she is on it, and getting it taken care of. As time passes I begin reaching out to get updates to see what progress has been done. This goes on for another year, attempting to see proof of any progress. She is an incredibly nice individual, but it seemed like I had to constantly remind her of what she was supposed to be working on for me.
Towards the end of that college semester I was able to get ahold of her and she then told me because of the extended time of waiting and nothing being done she said Texas State Paralegals would absorb the cost for me. Of course extremely grateful, I also didn't want to be forgotten about since I'm not having to pay. She reassured me that she would take care of me the same either way.
Now in year 2022 I have called countless times and have never been able to speak with mrs Alana. The most frustrating part is her secretary would set up a meeting with me and her and they wouldn't call. They won't even call to let me know something came up and they weren't able to make the meeting. I've had probably close to 60 phone meetings that they set up and never followed through with. I have pictures and phone calls documented if anyone needs to see them I can email them. I have waited close to 3 years now just to have been placed on the shelf and forgotten about. Now I have to find somewhere else and start all over.
The fact I was so patient for close to 3 years only to have been forgotten about and put at the bottom of the list of clients yo help.
I have given up calling now, they have won. Please do not let these people waste your time. The stress and anxiety of being ignored is not worth it. There are sever more frustrating details I can provide if anyone would like to see.

Again I am not doing this to be spiteful. I am doing this because I turned into an unimportant client that could be forgotten about . Not a single returned phone call from her, or meeting followed through this year.

I would love to share my back story, but I'll get to the good stuff.
Ms. Alana was recommended to me by a neighbour and after our first conversation I could see why. I had been contemplating filing BK for some years now, but always felt like, if i worked another job, longer hours I could pull myself out of debt. I've have gone the dept consolidation path in the past and that didn't work either. When I got serious about needing help and decided BK was my next step, I was blessed with Texas State Paralegals. I had so many questions and fears, I almost talked myself out of making that first step, to reach out to Ms. Alana. When I tell you, I went into the conversation a nervous wreck and ended with such peace.
Ms Alana cleared up all and any confusion and when she said she would see me every step of the way through the process. She did just that.
Y'all, she even offered to answer any questions I had or help out with anything I needed while on her vacation. Who does that? Ms. Alan at Texas State Paralegals, that's who. She has done an amazing job, and her services did not cost me an arm and leg. That in itself was a blessing as well. I am so thankful for everything.
