Horrible service. I had my final court appearance in November 2023. I finally got my judgment in October, almost a year later. The divorce judgment was returned twice by the clerks for stupid reasons, like they wanted to add to the documents that I was not on welfare even though I was represented by an attorney. I was told that Riverside court is the worst, the clerks are the ones holding back cases and of course with family court judges ruining mostly the fathers siding with the mothers most of the time makes the divorce process unbearable.

A pleasant experience. I did self-represent for my divorce and all the paperwork was available online to help guide you all the way through.

When you get there, you have to pay for parking (there’s mobile version if you’re lazy like me). Inside you’ll go through security and then check in with a ticket from ticket booth. They upheld the mask standard but don’t seem to sanitize the seating areas at all. Only two clerks were working, they did keep up with the pace though. Overall it was nice and speedy process if you COME PREPARED.

I am specifically referring to the Family Law Court Restraining Orders 3rd floor. Today was the 3rd time I attempted to file a restraining order on behalf of my daughter.
Form DV-110
Specifically says in the instructions: COMPLETE Items 1, 2, & 3.
The court will fill out the rest.
This form has been returned with the clerk(s) highlighting everything beyond Item 3. Three times I've been unable to file because the forms instructions
(Form DV-110 Revised 1/1/24) and the clerks instructions conflict.
Who's running this place? The clerks? Is the tail wagging the dog? Or merely snubbing their nose at it?

If you find yourself in a situation that requires a DVRO, the odds of you already having total paralyzing fear, low self esteem, uncertainty, concern for your children, anxiety, panic attacks, and physical issues , black eye broken nose etc... Now you go to court, to file for protection. You've finally had enough. You've gathered the courage, cause the court is going to protect you. Only to have some arrogant, judge mental clerk hand it back to you because"they" say you're not completing the form correctly. I'm no rocket scientist BUT I can read and comprehend.
Who orders the forms? Who decides what must be on them? Who decides what must be completed by whom?
According to the form DV-110, I'm being required by a Clerk to do a Clerks job. No problem. Who do I see for compensation?

AND THE A/C IS NOT WORKING ON THE 3RD FLOOR. CAN SOMEONE COMPLETE A MAINTENANCE WORK ORDER? A CLERK CAN PROBABLY ADVISE WHICH FORM THAT IS.

I wish I could give this courthouse a better rating. Unfortunately the majority of the clerks are very unprofessional. On more than one occasion. I have been hung up on, while trying to get information over the phone. When asked who I am speaking with, the clerks will also hang up the line. When the clerks do not understand a question, the clerks hang up the line. It usually takes around five back to back calls to get what I need done. When going inside, after taking a number and waiting. You finally get to the window, for clerks to completely misinform you. I’ve also tried turning in paperwork, which clerks will hand back and state it needs to be turned in at a later date. Only to get to that date and be asked why the paperwork was not turned in. Certain (about 3) clerks can do their job while majority of the clerks just don’t want to deal with their job or don’t know how to properly do their job and are too lazy to ask how to do it correctly. This is a courthouse, these clerks are holding people’s lives In their hands. There is very limited professionalism here within the front of house. I am really hoping a positive change comes from within very soon. The only reason why I am giving two stars is because of the amazing male clerk (whose name I can not recall). When I do get the opportunity to be assisted by him. He makes sure to look through all paperwork thoroughly, is very specific with times and dates and makes sure to check with his higher ups, if he is unsure about anything. Making sure the information he is giving out is “CORRECT”. He is very patient with the people who come to his window, and shows a level of professionalism that I have not seen with the other staff.

Which legal holiday is on 9/22/23? I'm sitting in front of the courthouse trying to file for my divorce. Online it says it's open until 4 p.m. and I'm sitting here by my car, along with other residents, and we see that it's actually closed. Like an idiot, I already paid for parking not expecting the place to actually be closed at an hour that it says it should be open. Bruh ? when I call it says that they are closed due to a legal holiday.
