Pam office manager has been very kind. When I had question in regards to my refund ,she answer all my question very well. My husband and I have gone here for years. Streeter is well priced and the service is great. Sheryl helped me this year after a career change to an independent contractor. I’ve been coming here 3 years straight for my taxes. This year a bit of a hiccup with timing, but I am an understanding person. Things happen, it’s life. I will still be returning next year and the years to come. I’ve recommended to all my friends and family and they are also happy. *Update* Thank you for the response. I have spoke with Mr Streeter himself and he is indeed doing what he can to make it right. I am updating my review to reflect that.

I have been going to Streeter for at least 17 years and never had a problem until the son took over. Last year was terrible, the wait was many weeks. I barely got my refund back in time to pay what I owed for state. Now this year…they have been very rude and the website has no record of me filing even though the rude lady said it was filed. They keep raising their prices and the service gets worse. This is my last year for using them.

Streeter Tax has been doing our taxes for like 14 years and even though we've moved far away to Virginia, I still send my stuff there to get done. I trust them--- I've mostly had Gloria and Cheryl (don't know if that's how she spells her name) do them. Our taxes are complicated too, nothing's straight-forward. I appreciate we are not overcharged, either. Great folks.

We've been going here for years. We have always been satisfied with our returns and the fees charged for their service. That all changed this last tax season. We paid the fee and had the state and federal returns direct deposited into our checking account or so we thought. After almost a month we still hadn't received our refund so we checked the IRS site, Where's My Refund and that's when the nightmare began. It showed the return funds were deposited in a little over a week, but not into OUR account. We spoke to the owner of Streeter Tax Service and he said he'd been in contact with the IRS several times and assured us that we should be getting a replacement check within a week. Well that time came and went along with many more weeks. For those unfamiliar with the process of receiveing your refund, if the account is open, the funds are deposited. If it isn't, the funds don't get deposited and electronically revert back to the IRS. After that happens they will send you a letter stating that they are now mailing a paper check to you. That letter never came and neither did the checks because the money was deposited in someone elses account, though we provided our preparer with the correct checking and routing information from the start.
We have made numerous phone calls, completed, necessary paperwork, filled out a police report, etc. but are still waiting for our refunds. This situation has caused us financial hardship as well as a tremendous amount of stress. We've heard about this happening to other people but you can't imagine how horrible the situation can be until you are involved in it yourself. The IRS has assured us that we will get our money but we are now into our 7th month of waiting. We have found this situation is more common than you would imagine. Also, confidentiality laws prevent you from determining in whose account the money was actually deposited. The funds may even have been deposited into the account of our tax preparer and that's exactly what we suspect. That's basically theft, but if you don't pursue this using the proper channels, you won't get your money and the person responsible knows this and that there will be no repercussions either.
Do your homework if you choose to go to a new tax service and if you happen to find yourself in a similar situation as us, plan on making countless phone calls and endless research and hopefully you'll get your money.
