The bar association is not in the business for really helping you. I need to file a civil case with the federal courts but I need to find a federal attorney. Basically no attorneys are available to you unless you have been in a car accident or if you have been violated through Unemployment, but anything involving housing then good luck finding an attorney to represent you. Bar Association did not provide any help other than a referral service for $35. Otherwise they are sending you to Northwest Justice project or clear which basically is a place where you can get help pro bono but good luck getting through their phone lines and you only have 3 hours to get through. What a run around

Was told to call this outfit by some attorney. He stated that they charge $35.00 for a referral. So, I called and explained that I need to hire a lawyer (that means I'll pay the hourly rate, no contingency) to file a civil claim for monies lost that I simply do not know how to do. Luckily, this B.S. referral service was nice enough to tell me that they cannot help me before actually charging the $35.00 fee. I wonder how many people they actually do charge $35.00 to and these folks still can't get an attorney. I need a general practice attorney that is capable of filing a $60,000 civil claim. Shouldn't be this difficult...
Google and using the telephone is better than this "attorney referral service".
