Simon is extremely knowledgeable of the legal system and very professional. Simon helped to ensure that we negotiated the best outcome possible and although I was not able to have my son relocate with me, I left feeling like we created a parenting plan that maximized my parenting time to the greatest possible extent.He also handled my emotional outbursts and sorrow with a calm and graceful manner tgat was very soothing. Reasonable in cost incurred and value in return from mediation. Fairly easy mediation for best interest of the child shared 50/50 custody after seeing controlled substance concern of one parent who opted out of a child neglect case, other responsible parent was proven innocent by the jury. Problem is the irresponsible parent thought he was in the wrong, waited for statue of time limitation to expire, went and GOT A COURT APPOINTED CHILD CUSTODY EVALUTOR who thought Simon did a horrific job apparently in best interest of our child with 50/50 shared custody, and gave full custody to mom. Now ODDLY this mediator gave that CHILD CUSTODY EVALUATOR A GOOD ENDORCEMENT ON LINKED IN? Child custody chaos for cash network? He maybe part of the broken bipolar system of child custody chaos! One of his indorced custody evaluators did not like his 50/50 best interest of the child mediation. The judge who second guessed his appropriate mediation obviouly did not think much of his mediation services we paid for! Very professional and efficient with managing a mediation session. Friendly, fair, and helps insure best interest of children are considered. But his services did not stick and apparently are not considered good by his endoresed Custody Evalutor and other state civil family law judges. The system is all over the place with prend best interest of your child!

Simon was completely manipulated by my ex-wife who played "innocent victim". She lied to his face and he believed every word. He was hired to mediate then arbitrate, but he took inadequate notes, was unable to recall what was said during the arbitration hearing and ruled incorrectly per the rules that HE laid out. Then when I challenged his judgement about the ruling, he doubled down and really stuck it to me. During the process, he repeatedly communicated with my ex-wife without including me, even after I asked him to include me in all communications. He sent out rules for an arbitration hearing, then he did not follow them. He allowed unbelievable hearsay "evidence" during the hearing, which he did without a contract, then asked us to sign his contract in arrears before writing a horrible arbitration award. This is not just a sour grapes review because I got screwed. Simon did not follow the rules he laid out, he allowed inappropriate testimony, and he believed obvious lies strait to his face. None of his award included deadlines, so actions were essentially ignored. He awarded 100% child support back to July, even though my son lived with me either 100% or 50/50 until September. This award was based on a request THAT WAS NEVER MADE during the arbitration hearing, even after he told her that he "cannot grant anything that is not requested" THREE TIMES. When I told him after his award that she never requested child support so I never made my counter argument during the arbitration, his response was:
8. The undersigned is not a recording device. The parties contracted for an informal hearing, implying that a court reporter would not be present. Neither party asked to have a court reporter present. If either party did record the proceedings, neither has presented a transcript to assist with this reconsideration.
9. The bottom line is that there is no record before me upon which I can go back and look at who said what.

Simply put, Simon is unreliable and easily manipulated. And when you call him on his issues, he makes you pay both halves of the fee. Do not use his services. If you are forced to use him, be sure to record the session either with a court reported or some other recording device.

Simon has recently mediated a case for me that I thought was going to be difficult to settle. Simon worked very diligently, professionally and helped resolve the issues to my complete satisfaction. I would recommend Simon to anyone wanting a knowledgeable and fair mediator.

This is an extremely biased, dishonest man. His ignorant shortsighted decisions caused irreparable harm to my family, especially my young daughter. Proceed with extreme caution if you're considering using him as a mediator or decision maker in your family's affairs.
