Every tax season, I am constantly stressed by the fear that I will incorrectly check a box and go to prison over the few remaining dollars I have left that the government *hasn't* taken. Since I started going to Shoreline Tax in 2023, taxes have been simple and easy.

Mark and everyone who works at Shoreline Tax are incredibly knowledgable and kind, and the amount of time he takes to walk me through the various aspects of financial health and security goes above and beyond anything you could expect.

Like finding a good mechanic, I can't imagine going anywhere else to have my taxes done. I am grateful to Mark and everyone else at Shoreline for their responsiveness, clarity, and intelligence.

Couples beware:
Despite his great reputation I was very unimpressed with his poor communication and am currently questioning his ethics, unfortunately.

Context: I'm going through a divorce and he has done our family's tax returns for several years now. This year I communicated with Mark about him still doing my taxes this year and we set a date that I would drop off all of my tax forms to his office. Only AFTER I dropped off all of my tax information to him did he write to me and say that he has decided he will be unable to file my taxes this year due to a conflict of interest (it's a conflict because he's also doing my husband's taxes and he will earn more money preparing his taxes than mine). I feel very uncomfortable knowing that he had access to my financial information this year that now can be directly or indirectly conveyed to my husband.
