10+ years after my divorce I KNOW that I can write a objective review about Sally Litchner. My divorce lasted 3+ years and I was a very active participant Father with my two kids. I tried to work out more time with my kids, with my Ex. I asked for sleep overs on Wednesday and Thursday nights as I had my kids every other weekend and Wednesdays and Thursdays. However, my Ex, I'm guessing due to the 'I'm not going to let him do that which will piss him off' mentality most of us have while going through a divorce, would not allow it to happen. Hence, we met Sally Litchner to mediate. We met with Sally several times and I outlined that I lived in the same school district, car pooled, owned a home with a separate bebrooms for both kids, cooked dinners, planned vacations, attended parent/teacher conferences, scheduled Dr appointments and attended them, and dedicated my parenting time to them. I was hopeful to get Wednesday and Thursday over nights, as my kids didnt get 'home' until 630pm and we had to have dinner and finish homework so I could return the kids back to their Mom's by 8pm. (a 15 min drive from). Bottom line, Sally said these two Middle school and High School kids need a 'routine' and sleep overs on Wednesday and Thursdays would disrupt that. Fast forward today, my ADULT kids share how they viewed ' the divorce' and time with their Father. I wish Sally would have considered the importance of a Father in the kids life as opposed to routine. SHAME ON YOU SALLY. I pray that the Counseling community realizes how important Father are in kids lives. We are seeing this more and more in todays society. Kids need a 'present father' I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SALLY LITCHER FOR ANY DIVORCE OR MEDIATION. (sorry for the length of this however, Fathers, find another option so that you can be a active father in your kids life)

I highly recommend using Sally Lichter, Esq as your divorce attorney. My personal attorney recommended I retain Sally. After the initial meeting with Sally, I immediately knew she would be easy to work with and would get the best outcome for me. There was no delay in starting to work on my case. I really appreciated how thorough she was and there for me every step of the way. Whether it was providing counsel, discussing next steps, attending depositions, completing financial statements, or attending court appearances. Sally’s counsel was spot on, and she provided easy to understand reasoning for her actions. She was always one step ahead of my ex’s attorneys throughout the entire process. She anticipated their every move and what they would ask for next. I was never caught off guard. When my divorced was finalized, I felt the outcome was favorable and equitable. Do not hesitate to retain Sally as your divorce attorney or any of the other practice areas Sally provides.

Sally is the BEST attorney you could hire. She will have your back and fight for you. I was at my worst, and I needed an advocate to help me through a really bad time. She knows the law and helped me with the reality of my situation. I highly recommend her.

All of these bad reviews are appalling. I have so many great things to say about Sally. It is clear that she is not only well respected in her field but she knows the law through and through. She made a very difficult and stressful situation a lot easier, I could tell I was in good hands.

I highly recommend Sally and her staff. Sally is very caring and responsive. She is very efficient and believes in resolving matters amicable but when it was not possible she was very tough in court and well respected. These other reviews are clearly from the other side and disgruntled.

Sally is currently a part of my case in Illinois as the GAL for my children. She is intentionally dragging out litigation for billable hours. Her bill is in excess of $10,000 and the most she has accomplished has been a few phone calls with my son. Zero with my daughter. She is now internet infamous for saying it's in her children's best interest to foreclose on my home. I didn't ask for a particular outcome. I've only expected to be treated fairly. She accused me of abandoning my children after I got fed up with going to court in Lake County. Over 100 court appearances. I've begged like a dog with my ex wife to let me talk to and see our kids. She refuses. Six years of hell. More than $85,000 in attorney fees. I spent 20 years in the Navy for the judges and attorneys in Lake County, Illinois to treat me like a criminal. Well, I'm going to give as much as I've recieved. Welcome to the Show.

Like vast majority of the reviews Sally, as GAL always sides with the mother by default.
My son, grandson and I had similar experience. I feel sorry for all the fathers who have her as the GAL, mediator or even child representative. Dads have no chance with her. She only cares about money and looking out for the best interest of the mother, and not the child
The lazy sloppy work, bias and discrimination needs to stop.

Sally Lichter drug out our case for nearly 18-months at $400/hr, about 25% higher than most attorneys. This woman was never prepared for court and was best at asking for continuances. Hire her if you’ve got deep pockets of money and want nothing accomplished, otherwise run the other way.
