I was skeptical that mediation would work, but Kerry found a way to thread the needle and get an agreement without me having to go fight it out in court. Happy I saved so much money and that it worked! I think this attorney has two skills: 1. he listens really well, 2. he has been doing this for quite a while so when he says, "You may want X, but if you go to court the court is only going to give you Y" it carried weight with me because he has seen so many family law cases in the court system. You can probably tell I didn't get everything I wanted, but I can live with the agreement and I didn't go broke trying to get something that was probably not that realistic. If anyone can get divorce mediation to work I think it is this lawyer.

My husband and I went into a consultation for "mediation" on the same page about everything. Honestly the simplest divorce a lawyer could write up. This lawyer tried to take us off of the same page and made us very uncomfortable. Ultimately went with someone else.
