I've been in and out of individual and group therapy most of my life Dr. Shear is one of the few pople I've met in his profession that I believe he is there to help and not just get a check. Also his receptionist Sally is compassionate and professional. If you're looking to put in the necessary amount of work to help yourself, Dr. Shear will get you through your rough waters without judgment.

Dr, Shear is a fantastic therapist. I was nervous about going to family therapy and had a few not so great experiences with past therapists. I was going through some problems and really needed help. After searching for the right therapist for many days I narrowed it down and gave Dr. Shear a call. Within a few minutes of our first session I knew I had found a good one. I think he is genuinely compassionate and caring and really knows how to help. I am better off for having gone to family therapy with him. I recommend him without any hesitation.

Know how important it is to have the right mental health professional for you, and not just a pair of ears and a mouth. Now, having said all that, I've never felt better in 10 sessions with certain select therapists of mine BEFORE meeting Dr. Shear. I FELT BETTER DURING AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER MY FIRST SESSION WITH DR SHEAR THAN I'VE FELT SPENDING 90 DAYS IN S RESIDENTIAL FACILITY WITH ONE DR. I can't get over how much it feels like he knows exactly how I need to hear things so that I'll be able to digest them the way I want. He's good. If you're serious about your mental health and the effect your mental health has in all aspects of your life; give Dr. Shear a call!

I had a problem with my marriage life and felt trapped for quite a bit. Michael Shear helped me a lot in understanding the essence of my relationship and making the right decisions for myself. I find this family counselor very emphatic, understanding, comfortable to talk and listen and very helpful!
I cannot think of any better way than what he offered me. I would strongly recommend his service to anyone in need.
