A real estate closing is not an everyday occurrence for most people, so one could be forgiven for not knowing much about the title companies in the area or the factors differentiating one from another. Usually, a realtor just recommends someone they know and very little additional thought is given to this part of the home buying or selling process, compared to all the other things that have to be taken care of. But I'd like to submit that there IS a difference, and that difference is atttention to detail, and by this metric, Premier Title and Settlement of Virginia stands head and shoulders above the rest. Think about it - the phase of a real estate transaction that these folks handle is literally ALL about the details, and whether you realize it or not you are placing a lot of trust in whomever you use for your closing. If they get the details right, the process is smooth - if a little boring - and everybody goes home happy and thinks nothing of the work leading up to that point. But if they get the details wrong, a number of nasty suprises can become your problem, well after the fact. Therefore, in the "home stretch" of a transaction, you VERY much want everything to be done thoroughly, exhaustively, and double checked for accuracy. This conscientious attention to detail, combined with a level of customer service that is second to none, describes every single interaction I've had with Matt and his team. I've closed on multiple properties, using multiple settlement agents, so I have some standard of comparison. I won't use anyone else for closing in the NRV, and I am confident that if you choose Premier Title and Settlement of Virginia, you won't either, and chances are, your realtor will start recommending them to future clients.
