Zero Stars – Worst Lawyer Ever!

I had the worst experience with Demi Okuboyejo. She had no idea what she was doing with my case, and it was a total waste of time and money.
To make matters worse, she had the guts to call me last minute three times to either cancel or reschedule my appointments. It felt like she had no respect for my time or the seriousness of my case.

Honestly, I feel like I was her first client she seemed like she had just graduated and had no real experience. I ended up firing her because she was clearly not capable of handling my case.

Please do yourself a favor and don’t waste your money with her. Do not trust the receptionist who recommended her to me. I deeply regret it. She won’t start or finish the job, and all you're doing is throwing your money away. There was zero communication, and she showed no interest in actually working on my case.

I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone.

I recently hired a lawyer named Saranjit Dhindsa from Oakley Family Law, and honestly, it was a pretty terrible experience. The Lawyer, Sananjit, and the Oakley team didn’t meet the minimum expectations for retainer agreement confidentiality .I ended up like my concerns were completely ignored, and my emails went unanswered by Oakley family Law. I made it clear that I didn’t want any of my confidential information shared with the other party, but both Sananjit Dhindsa and the Oakley family Law dropped the ball on that. They charged me for supposedly protecting my confidential details , but they didn’t do a good job of keeping things private. I definitely wouldn’t recommend Oakley Family Law to anyone. I consider it highly unprofessional that they did not adhere to their retainer agreement. I would not recommend this law firm to anyone in need of legal assistance, as it is likely to exacerbate your issues rather than resolve them.The Lawyer and the law firm do not adhere to basic standards of etiquette concerning client confidentiality. Additionally the fees for their services are not justified by the value provided.

UPDATE : I was ,recently, once again required to retain the services of Oakley Family Law and retained Jamie-Lee Denton. Even though she explained that she was a junior lawyer, she acted with the utmost professionalism, a thorough understanding of the process, and made sure that I was informed every step of the way. Again, just very happy she made short work of a minor issue, and handled it with extreme kindness. Something this world needs more of. Cannot recommend Oakley Family Law enough for their work and support. Thank You!

Melissa Oakley, and her assistant Sharon were exceptionally professional and personable right from the start. The entire process was explained in detail, with all available options laid out clearly. They would let you be as hands on or off as you felt comfortable. Divorce is a difficult process at any stage, but I would never hesitate to recommend Oakley Family Law to anyone. They make it easy to understand, and provide excellent value for their rate. Having Melissa's dog Jet around the office really helped break the emotional tension for me as well. I can't thank you all enough.

When I was blindsided by a separation I didn’t know where to turn. I contacted Oakley Family Law and met with Melissa who explained the process to me and assured me that everything was going to be okay.

I'm not completely through my divorce, up to this point they have been understanding and fair. They listen to my side of the issues and they fight for me and my cause. They also coach you how to keep your bill down. They explain what you will be billed for and how its calculated. Up to this point I'm very happy. I will update once my divorce is finalized.

Divorce finalized. Even with my ex switching when we were almost done. And the extra time it took to get a court date with covid. It still wasn't a crippling bill. I'm glad I made this choice and I can't say enough good things about the team. Definitely helped me lower the stress through a difficult situation.
