Sue Dawson and her team are some of the most amazing, caring lawyers out there. They are truly professional and "results' oriented." I can't say enough good things— honest, reliable, transparent, professional — they get the job done! They helped me with several corporate issues, as well as my personal estate work. They did it fast and in a very cost-effective way. Sue is currently working with me on obtaining WBE certification, and I am confident that this will be a huge asset to our overall business plan. I hired WP&D for their knowledge and expertise. Sue, Millie and the entire team exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this firm — great attorneys, great experiences!

I’ve trusted WP&D for nearly 10 years now. They have supported us through my previous company’s rapid growth years and subsequent sale. With our new start-up, they continue to provide sage advice and guidance as well as strong contractual support. The team at WP&D have even helped our family with our wills, estate planning, trusts, and powers of attorney. They truly are partners with us on our family and business journeys.

I was very happy with Ms. Waltz as my attorney. Throughout this awful process she remained a voice of reason and clarity. All of my questions were answered in a way I understood, not legal speak. Nothing my ex tried to do got by her, she was always on top of things and kept me very well informed. I didn't have to wait days to hear back from her. Nichole saw to it that I was treated fairly and divorce sucks but I couldn't be happier with the outcome of my divorce. For everything she did for me I would've expected to pay more but I found her fee to be quite fair. Divorce is not fun for anyone but it sure helps to have an attorney you can count on and trust, Nichole is both of those things and more!

I used Nichole Waltz’s services during high conflict divorce. Here are the highlights after 20 month of my experience:

1. Nichole Waltz will help you to lose your wining case in most difficult and slow passion.

2. If you expecting high conflict divorce – don’t hire this firm. They don’t know what to do in critical situations, they will not protect you, and they will not advise you. You will be left alone to deal with great amount of fear, stress and emotions including court proceedings.

3. If one of your marital assets is privet business – don’t hire Nichole Waltz and her firm. She has no idea how to deal with it and she will not do anything to help you. She doesn’t know how to get financial records for privet businesses. She doesn’t know how to read financial statements and other documents related to the privet businesses. Their financial investigator is not effective either. Check, document and report all your financial documents by yourself, otherwise they will never make to the court.

4. Don’t let her use different lawyers in your case!! It will cost you more for no reason. You will be charged for the time when they exchanging the information regarding your case between each other. Make sure that she will invite court reporter for your trials. Make sure that Mrs. Waltz will attend on every trial by herself. On my first trial she went on vacation and sent her inexperienced young associate to represent me which ended up in a loss of court hearing and additional 2 years of court proceedings.

5. Nichole Waltz will lie to you, she will lie to Judge. She will disregard any of your needs, wishes and will do anything to benefit financially in most efficient way from your trouble without blink of her eyes. She will keep you unaware of details of your case and you will be charged for the time when she will provide the updates. Make sure that your financial affidavit will have all professional/attorney fees entered properly and box where additional help mentioned will remain unchecked. With advice from Mrs. Waltz these details were missing and box was checked in my papers: 60K attorney fees that she received from me and financial help from third party that I never received were in my court papers at all times for 20 month of her performance. These little details helped other party to “win” for some time.

6. Make sure that checks from trials will be on YOUR name. Mrs. Waltz likes to keep them in her trust account and then use them like there is no tomorrow. You probably going to receive only left overs if any. She will refuse to give them to you. When I got to this point with her I found a new lawyer and left. After a short period of time my situation completely changed - I won my entire case and finally became free from abusive husband and court nonsense.

My experience was almost identical to google review on this firm from Frank Matuszek 2016. If you thinking to hire Nichole Waltz to help you with your divorce, think twice.

Nothing for Something…
After a short evaluation, we selected Waltz, Palmer and Dawson (WPD) for a simple estate resolution, and it turned out to be the most disastrous decision in my life, especially from a financial standpoint. We entrusted our case to Millie Palmer the “P” in WPD, who was a neighborhood acquaintance because she acted like she was interested in our position and expressed complete confidence in a quick and positive outcome. In the end, it appears their true interest was in our cash and not our fair settlement of the estate. Ms. Palmer stated to us that our situation was a simple estate closure, and that the estimated costs would be around $3k, unless things got challenging, then it might go as high as $6k. By the end, WPD had ground through well over $60,000! The bill was so staggering it affected our life including college selection for our children. WPD used a variety of means to rack up the bills; running wasteful audits, utilizing an outsourced lawyer, delayed and erroneous bills, using multiple lawyers in court, repetitive meetings to review status… It just never stopped. I frequently asked them to stop spending money, and to eliminate the outsourced lawyer, and all my requests were ignored until it was too late. Millie’s response was surprising, “you should have fired us”. Even the judge on the case was so disgusted with WPD representation that he threatened to jail one a WPD attorney for their conduct. Millie told me to ignore the escalating bills as they were being inflated to assist with the final settlement and that it would be discounted off in the end. As I was cornered into taking a settlement that had errors, and one I wanted dismissed, WPD demanded I sign over the entire final settlement cash, telling me that the court would never approve it any other way. WPD took everything they wanted without my approval, returning the scraps to me. The WPD $60,000+ bill does not even cover all of the losses I took on the estate, which substantially increased during the excessive time it took WPD to bring the estate to closer. WPD refused to agree to a settlement, and kept what they wanted, well over $60,000! Without recourse, I have few options but to file a report with the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission (ARDC) of the Supreme Court of Illinois, asking them to review the business/legal practices at WPD. In addition I am evaluating options on bringing a lawsuit against WPD for all of the losses. This is a long story of failures, errors and falsehoods, and I have volumes of documents to support my claim. Don’t make the same mistake and trust WPD with your assets. Take your time and find a reputable firm and get everything in writing as the case progresses. If WPD doesn’t have a company motto, I can recommend one; WPD, where you get nothing for something.

Retained WP&D, Millie Palmer, to update my long overdue Will and Estate Plan . Changing conditions and challenging family dynamics had to be addressed and MP and her staff helped me navigate to a comfortable solution with professional counsel, grace, and understanding,

I feel most assured with the final outcome and would highly recommend the services of Millie Palmer and the entire staff at WP&D.
