My experience with Jamie Mitchell was terrible. She was not the attorney she portrayed herself to be during the initial consultation. She was my attorney for about 1 year and 3 months for custody case. Had at least 6 phone conversations month after month with her repeating what she was going to do and failed to do it each time. She attended 8 court case management meetings and failed each time to request even a hearing or establish temporary support after over a year. She took $7000 with absolutely nothing to show for it. She started going weeks at a time and even an entire MONTH not responding to multiple messages during my case, which was completely unacceptable. I even had to start attending the zoom CMC meetings myself just to find out what was going on with my case. I learned more from google and my 2nd attorney in 30 minutes than I did from Jamie about the process and what was going on with my case in the year I dealt with her. The more I questioned Jamie about what she was doing or lack thereof, the more she ignored me. At one CMC meeting, I saw her interact with opposing attorney, he would have eaten her alive at trial!! She was beet red, fiddling and putting her hair behind her ears due to nervousness and she was clearly intimidated and uncomfortable. I knew I made a terrible mistake hiring her. The opposing party also filed a motion to compel on me because Jaime FAILED to send them discoveries 4 MONTHS after I turned them in to her And them asking her for them multiple times and I didn’t even know about it until they filed it! The final straw, I asked for proof that she requested a hearing with the Judge, which she could not provide, she claimed I didn’t trust her and withdrew from my case claiming a “breakdown of communication”. Biggest blessing that could have happened because she most certainly would have caused devastation with my custody case because of her carelessness. She advertises for helping people deal with narcissist, yet you will get gaslit up and down by her if you question anything she does that seems off, or that she flat out lies about or fails to get accomplished. 3 attorneys I spoke with after dealing with Jamie said I was not the first person they heard say they had a negative experience as a client of Jamie for some of the same reasons, especially not filing documents, lack of or cutting off communication or abandoning their case halfway though. Do not trust her or depend on her unless you want to risk losing your case or causing loss in dealing with your circumstances or your family.
