I stopped into the tax collector office to get my beach sticker because I mailed in my application over 2 weeks ago. Vicky and Jackie explained they were short staffed and it might be there waiting to get processed. Vicky found it and processed it for me while I waited. They were professional, friendly and extremely helpful! Thank you both!

People be aware!!! I just recieved collection bill for thousands of dollars from a tax bill for 2008 car back in 2007. The town of Milford never sent me a bill in thirteen years. I bought my car in 2008 and moved to fl in 2010. I had no bill for on outstanding balance. I registered my new car in CT. In thirteen years I lived at same address in FL for past ten years.I always pay my bills I had excellent job in 2008/ 2009 and would have paid any taxes owed. Milford waited thirteen years to send first billThey waited until I just became disabled and have not worked full time for 5 years to inform me. Keep your receipt and check stubs for 15 years if you live in CT. I cant afford lawyer to fight this injustice but I can warn others.

If you're ever feeling useless, just remember you can be this office. Their phones and website don't work. They never return calls and don't follow business hours.

Wow, looking at the other reviews...I found the office unbelievably kind and gracious. On a tax bill that was late, the words were "Sorry, our records show this tax is unpaid." They said "Sorry" for my unpaid tax. What more could you want. Thank you Milford Tax, sorry we were late.

Paid cash for taxes and visited the dmv 3 times to be told mine were never cleared...whats the deal milford? "Immediate release" ...what a joke.
