Due to various changes in our life and laws, to update our living trust and will had been way overdue. We didn’t want to go back to the original attorney for updating. And didn’t know who the right attorney for us is, was the main reason of delay. Changing the attorney triggered a need to create RESTATEMENT of our existing living trust. We believe it is well worth the efforts.

After a long research, we chose attorney Ms. Yuka Merritt at Merritt Law. She did great services and job, provided us a very thorough and organized package with very fair fee.

She would accommodate the client wishes for the interface. In our case, we chose the most efficient way. All interfaces were through Zoom meeting, email and secured portal, except the final document signing at her office.

She explained all the pros and cons on the relevant living trust options based on the current laws and tax regulations in details; narrowed down the best options for us to choose. Since she charges on hourly basis, to minimize unnecessary chatting and do the homework certainly would help saving.

She was very efficient, and yet a very friendly, considerate and caring person. Even though we only knew two attorneys, it has been quite a different experience from our previous one. We are very thankful and happy with her work. We did sleep much better.
