I paid this firm $2,500 in 2022 to represent my son on a marijuana charge and for a D.V. charge in Florida with a girlfriend who dropped the charges because there was no abuse only a break-up that she didn't want. That situation was handled. We had to pay money and go through the legal system to get the fake charges dropped. But three years later, the marijuana charge is still pending with no resolution. After participating in numerous court appearances and programs, the judge kept saying he was close to dismissal, the attorney with Maxwell and Tillman dropped the ball; often my son was alone in court appearances and the game continued until my son, and our family lost hope in the legal system. Now here it is three years later and there's no resolution. A marijuana charge shouldn't cost you so much. There has to be better ways to help people with non-criminal, minor offenses. A minor charge like this can ruin lives with no help from the system; all they do is try to keep you trapped. Jefferson County Drug Court is a joke, especially if you don't have strong representation.
