I had a very pleasant experience with Manassa Law. My husband and I lived apart for almost five years and separated nearly everything except our retirement accounts. We worked with Oren Graupe to prepare the legal documents to dissolve our marriage. He was very nice and a good communicator. The process was smooth for Oren and us because it was very amicable. If I had any suggestions, I would say check the paperwork for accuracy because there were some unfortunate typos. Also, having the directive of retirement funds for the financial advisor letter ready with the dissolution of marriage papers would have been more efficient since there were no foreseeable disputes.

I worked with Kelly. She was amazing! I had to switch between lawyers from different firms before coming here. My case was complicated and was standing for over 3 years loosing so much money over the course of years with the case not getting anywhere. Kelly came right in and brought my case to close in a matter of months. She was very assertive, informative and made sure I understood every step along the way. She would also make herself available to answer any questions I had and was lovely to work with!

Run! Run as fast as you can! I can’t speak for any of the other lawyers at this firm, but we had the incredibly unpleasant experience with Oren Who pretty much did nothing but take our money. In the end he actually agreed in court to a lower amount of child support than what we are supposed to be receiving. Meaning, he wasn’t even aware of how much we were supposed to receive. Any question you would ask him on the phone he does not know the answer to. He would stutter all over the place, have to look every single question up for an answer, you would literally get to the point where you have to tell him you need to hang up the phone because he would try to drag it out billing you constantly. Asking the same questions over and over. And when we came to what we were told was a wall that we probably weren’t going to be able to get past in the case, the only reason we were told that is because Oren had no idea what he was doing. I’ve had to deal with a second lawyer since we used Oren’s services and he knew the answer to this question immediately. Oren claims he spent days searching for this answer to help us when this other lawyer, I needed to use knew the answer in his head immediately. This answer Oren could not figure out cost us thousands of dollars! Either way that’s absolute incompetence, or worse, dragging us along to take our money at over $300 an hour.
Also, on the last day of court our bill somehow jumped $8000!!!? Even if you spent the entire day at the courthouse, the bill would not be over $2600. How does it jump $8000 in one day? of course that was after he found out what the payout would be.
This lawyer charged us $40,000 for going after an ex-husband who wasn’t paying what he was supposed to. We even spoke to the ex-husband‘s lawyer and he was in shock and what we were charged, I also told the story to my current lawyer, who can’t believe it.
This is a simple open and shut case. The ex-husband wasn’t paying what he was supposed to, we proved it, and then our own lawyer became our worst enemy. It was like we were fighting him the entire time to prove it. If I had the resources, I would absolutely file a petition for theft and incompetence against this firm.
These people are not here to help you, but simply take your money. And in our case, Oren has no clue what the law is at least when it comes to state law and what people are specifically supposed to receive as far as child support when divorced. Oren also told us this would probably not exceed $12,000. Which that amount is crazy in itself. I asked him if would exceed that amount multiple times and he answered it multiple times. That was the maximum! There was literally no point in doing any of this having to pay him $40,000. All the money we rightfully received by the ex-husband basically went to the lawyer. This is downright criminal in my opinion.
I could go on for another hour as to why you should run from this place.
And as this law firm will probably respond to this review, trying to cover their tracks, as I stated, I don’t know anything about any other lawyer at this firm. This is more of a review about Oren. I highly suggest you look elsewhere.

Kelly was always available to answer my questions and put me at ease through the entire process of modifying the financial aspects of my divorce and continued custody agreement. My divorce was very high conflict and complex involving multiple businesses and homes. In addition to that, my former husband was trying to hide assets and divert money. Larry never flinched, both he and his team worked incredibly hard to reach a settlement I was comfortable with. No easy feat given the circumstances. He is a tireless professional and the only attorney you want on your side of the courtroom. I can’t say enough about this firm. They are capable of handling any type of case thrown their way, especially high estate divorces. You are not treated like a case or a number but an actual person, Larry makes himself available and answers every question thoroughly. Take your money and go somewhere else after paying a $10,000 retainer and almost $30k in legal fees Larry told me to settle my case or he is withdrawing as I will never get a better offer and I am fighting a losing battle. Just wanted to let you know that exactly 1 year later I got everything I wanted plus more. Larry doesn’t fight, he looks for the easiest way out.
