Don't want to be "that guy" that only points out the negative, but this needs to be said. They hired someone to work in the upstairs - the place where people go to study and for quiet - who constantly raises his voice to greet people as they walk in the door, ask if they need help, or whenever he wants to start a conversation. Couldn't concentrate, couldn't keep a train of thought. His voice carried throughout the upstairs and through to the closed off quiet area. Finally had to leave in disgust.

I may be a little biased but I think this is a beautiful new building. It's bright and cherry and open and there's space. There's space when you walk in and in the foyer there's space if you walk back for the children if you go upstairs there's space for adults and teens. And there's a lot of light and a beautiful view. And even in the basement there's a big media room. I think this is a very good library I would recommend anyone for Brookfield to check out the library.

This neighborhood library is wonderful. The librarians are extremely knowledgeable, checkout processes are accessible, and the media and tools at hand exceed expectations. Additionally, I love the ease of the holds/pick-up section. The building itself is beautiful, and there's even seating outside to relax and read.

The only downside is the lack of noise/disruption control; the adult area is extremely loud, with kids playing video games and running around for example. Just peacefully browsing the shelves is almost impossible. I wish it was quiet enough to read books indoors - one of the minimum expectations in a library.

I love the new building of the Brookfield Library. The first floor is all about small and young children. They have several tables for coloring, a lego table for playing with legos, and a little soft corner for babies to play with the blocks. On the second floor they have many small tables with comfy chairs for reading and studying, a whole separate and spacious quiet room for focus time, meeting rooms that can be reserved, a maker space, and a teen space. The shelves are great and easy to browse. They have new print books, audio books, and movies on the first floor, there's always something interesting to get into. Overall a great space for the Brookfield community.

This library has everything. And the staff is great. But, my favorite librayon Arthur has passed away. So sad.

Very good experience each time at the new library. The staff has continuously been kind, helpful and professional. The staff on the upper level has shown that they understand what it was like to be a child by not being too stern with the children but yet keeping them quiet and letting them have fun. I like the new look and all that the new and improved library has to offer. It may have been part of the reason for the hike in taxes but it is a welcome improvement.

Place is nice but I don’t like the fact that your in another close by suburb you can’t get a library card at this location or any of the museum passes if they have them available.

We love the Brookfield Library! Both of my sons have enjoyed story time at the library for years. We visit the library at least once a week - often more in the winter time. Everyone is always so friendly and welcoming.
