I was very thankful for the help and guidance that Legal Action Workshop provided me with.It could not have been better! Brenda was amazing she explained everything right away what I needed to do. Saving me a lot of time and money. I contacted different lawyers offices but never a call back. I came in to there office where Mr. Stephen Drucker with his years of experience and helpful knowledge was able to help me with my probate code declaration. My original review:

Called for info about a consultation: very unhelpful. Talked over me when I started to answer their questions, wouldn't listen to my explanations, displayed no interest in the elements of my case, dismissive of my needs when they aligned with their limited scope advertising. Glad I didn't get past the first phone call with these people, I don't believe they care about their client's cases.. they are after your money. Beware!

Their response:

Thank you for your review even though it is negative! Just to give context to the review...this person is not our client and simply called our firm for information. We are a flat fee law firm for divorce and family law and as such we do not 'represent' our clients in court. Most of our clients agree on their issues. For this we prepare an agreement that is filed with the court and a court appearance is, in most cases, not necessary. However, there are some people who do not agree on their issues and these people usually represent themselves in court or hire an attorney at that point. My staff member took a great deal of time to explain that attorneys who fully represent clients do so for an hourly/retainer fee which can be quite costly. Further, after explaining our low cost option, the staff person determined that this woman would be better served by a 'full representation' attorney who could do discovery which she stated that she wanted. It's odd that she would conclude her review by saying that we are after her money...since her conversation with my staff member was entirely free, and we offer a low cost option. If we were after her money, we would've tried to convince her to use our services...which we did not do!

It’s odd that you would not listen to me on the phone.I explicitly stated that I did not want to go to court, that I wanted to hire someone to be present with me during MEDIATION as my ex is abusive and I need help communicating. I do not want full representation and I was certainly not given ANY helpful information regarding my options to move forward if I were to handle the discovery process on my own or if I chose to move forward without it at all.
No effort was made to hear me or to help me.
No you didn’t take my money, but my warning is to others whose money you DO take… with the way I was treated by merely inquiring about services… these folks don’t care about YOU and that is what people like me look for when hiring help. Spend your money elsewhere with people who make you feel valued and respected. And considering the other reviews, this place has a pattern of treating people poorly.

I just want to say that Stephen handled my case with expertise. He helped me and my sister with probate and paperwork in order to keep our home. Because we didn’t have any issue along the way he said it would take about 9 months but he did it in 10 which was faster than others say it would. Even though we wouldn’t hear from him from time to time because the paperwork he sent out took a while to receive back, he called me immediately when he did have updates. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a good, trustworthy, and experienced lawyer for their case.

I had to get some legal help to make a name change to my name. The Law firm agreed to help me with this procedure. I was able to communicate with them with phone calls and a few emails. This made the process a lot easier for me because their Law office was about 30 miles from my house. When the court date arrived, the Law firm reminded me of the date and time that I had to be at the court house. This helps because sometimes people (me) forget things like court dates because we are always so busy. When I got to the court house, my case was quickly resolved. After, the Law firm called me to see how everything went and I told that it went great.

About 6 years ago Leag Action Workshop did a good job on a divorce contract for me when I wanted to avoid getting into a legal battle and just wanted to have a simple straightforward contract for a very affordable price.
This year I got some questions regarding this contract when I wanted to list my house for sale. They were helpful and willing to answer quite a few calls, address my concerns, and fix any issues.
So I have nothing but good things to say about the quality of their work and fair price structure. On the "room-for-improvement' side I am not so surprised to see a few reviews complaining about their customer service. When I first called, I got a sense of irritation and impatience when raising my concerns about the contract. It turns out that I wasn't wrong because 3 title companies raised the same concerns later. But they followed through and helped me fix it.
