Beware! I would not hire Mr. Zahour again and to be fair he was great when I hired him in the past. I really think he needs to retire.
Dealing with him is like watching 50 First Dates. I would have to re-explain everything regarding my case and times I had to remind him on items needing attention. He would tell me to schedule an appointment to prepare for court and I would go there and he wouldn’t know why I was even there.
I feel that Mr. Zahour mishandled my case as none of my points were ever addressed and when I was to appear in court I wasn’t even present when the judge, my lawyer, ex, ex’s wife, and ex’s lawyer all conferenced. When I asked him why I wasn’t a part of the conference and the details of my case were discussed without me being present and this was his response: “If you are so unhappy with the court’s order as discussed after the conference with Judge …. you have the right to file a motion to try to vacate that order as long as you do it within 30 days of the date the order was signed. You have the ability to do it yourself or you can seek the representation of an attorney to represent you. I will not do it. I believe the Judge’s decision is well founded upon ….. If you do not file such a motion the order that was entered will become what is called and final order and thereafter subject to modification prospectively not retroactively.” This is not even a response to my question and to think I’d actually ask him to represent me again - ha! How incredibly unfair. How can you say you’ll represent me and then agree with the other side and say the decision was fair? I’m confused. Then why would you take my case in the first place? Did absolutely nothing for me but waste my money and a year of my life.
So, honestly, I’m really sad I had to write this review because I really thought I had a fair lawyer who was familiar with my case and I ASSumed he was competent in his ability. I know at one point he was but at this point I think it’s time to put away the brief case.
