Sharing my experience(s) with Mr McWethy.
Had 2 very high traffic violations in the last year. My first time working with McWethy law firm I had a very good feel when talking to him. He took my case and to my surprise he had it cleared to the success of the violation not being on my record.
Then came my 2nd very high traffic violation and I knew exactly who to call, again to my surprise and from his working with the Prosecutor I only had to take a class and again NOT on my record.
Understand each case is different but for me my family and all my friends I can honestly tell then to First talk to Mr McWethy.

I could write a Novel about how happy I am with the services received from Lucas & Paulette. I was referred to him by a highly touted, more expensive firm for an old out of state DUI in warrant status. After my first phone call I was glad they referred me. Was very professional, considerate, and affirming in his brief 1/2 hour written counsel (which was actually counsel, despite what the truly horrifying defense Steffener was saying) by recommendation of his peers, which he clearly deserves. Definitely checked into and affirming of reality no matter how hard to face it may be and very helpful. Didn't try to blame the victim or treat the victim aggressively because the horrifying nature of the case made them want to drop it or its threats to their world view made them try to blame the victim to avoid the discomfort of a revealed and brutal reality. This attorney was recommended by the Lance Fryrear law firm because my case was too complicated for them, including that it was at the Shoreline District Court and they think that it is a difficult court to deal with. According to them, Lucas McWethy was a creative attorney and able to handle complex cases. In my case a stalker against whom I have an order of protection, has been asking for order of protections against me out of retaliation and keeps trying to set me up for crimes when he knows my whereabouts. I have now been charged for a crime that it is fairly easy to demonstrate I did not commit since I have strong alibis. The Law Firm of Lucas D. McWethy told me that they did not have time to represent me to fight the order of protection and the misdemeanor charges without asking for any details or reviewing the case at all.. They recommended eanother attorney who ended up representing me to fight the order of protection and was very successful. He was very effective proving that the petitioner was a very deceitful individual, particularly by gathering crucial information before the hearing. He is now also representing me for the false charges and the case appears strong because the petitioner, an extremely conning ex-convict forged affidavits on behalf of other individuals and has submitted multiple false documents. My attorney has gathered evidence to fully demonstrate that the documents were forgeries.
Attorneys and law firms should be rated not only based on the cases they take and win, but also based on the cases they reject. In my experience with this law firm and Lance Fryrear's law firm is that they take the cases they think they can easily win and reject those with some degree of difficulty. Even though my case seemed difficult to win, had any of these two law offices reviewed the multiple deceitful documents forged by the accuser, t hey would have realized that the case was not that complex. I give this rating because this law office expressed that they did not have time to deal with a case that showed some difficulty. My attorney has won the first part already,
