Oran was fantastic. He helped us figure out what we needed for ourselves in the divorce and offered poignant guidance at every step of our process. We had no issues in the courtroom because of his guidance and preparation. Be mindful that divorce mediators are people and professionals, not couples therapists. All you have to do is go in with that mentality and common courtesy and you'll be amazed with Oran!

It is nice to have the chance to share my experience of working with Oran Kaufman through my/our divorce. Oran was very helpful throughout the mediation process. He never lost patience with us even when my wife and I were struggling to agree. Oran has very good social and emotional intelligence. He reads people well and makes good suggestions after having listened closely to what we were saying. Even though his fee was lower than we expected, we would have paid more to have the kind of guidance and support he provided. My wife and I both highly recommend him.

Oran was highly competent, non-biased and very professional. He is an excellent communicator and responded swiftly and thoroughly to all questions. His experience and sensitivity effectively led us through a difficult process. His hourly rate is pretty costly, but I expect it ended up being considerably less expensive than hiring two separate lawyers. If your divorce is relatively amicable, Oran is a great choice.

I recently worked with Oran Kaufman to settle a separation agreement between myself and my long time partner with whom I have two children. I thought that he did a very good job, he was easy to communicate with, explained the process clearly and thoroughly and he seemed fair and impartial. I especially appreciated that he worked with us on our own timeline and did what he could to get the process done as quickly as possible from his end to save us money. I would absolutely recommend him for any mediation needs, especially since he is an experienced licensed attorney.

My ex and I worked with Oran Kaufman to mediate a friendly divorce which is no small feat after 35 years of marriage. When he told us that his job was to be totally unbiased and that he would insist upon everything being communicated to both my ex and me, he meant it. He takes his role as mediator very seriously. His fees are reasonable and he does not charge for every breath he takes as did another mediator with whom we were working and who we cut ties with for doing a less than adequate job. Oran is terrific! One of life's most unpleasant things to do was made much easier with his help.

Simply put, Oran’s experience and expertise made the inevitably difficult process of divorce so much more manageable and forward-moving than it would have been otherwise. Oran offers a wide range of scheduling options; my ex-spouse and I work long hours on differing schedules, and Oran was always able to accommodate us when making appointments. Throughout the process, I was always so grateful for Oran’s extensive experience mediating divorcing couples with children, like us; he was able to offer numerous solutions to the various questions and snags that came up and gave us all the information we needed to make the decisions that would work best for our family. He prepared us well for the date of the court hearing, and every legal professional we worked with--from the administrative assistants filing our case, to the on-staff attorney at the Franklin County Justice Center, to the judge who ultimately granted our divorce-- commented on what an excellent job Oran always does writing up separation agreements. I couldn’t recommend Oran more highly to anyone seeking a mediation that is thorough, fair, and handled with the utmost in professionalism and care.
