I recently used Lakes Title to close a real estate transaction and they were wonderful to work with! They were very patient with me, thorough and extremely accommodating with scheduling! The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I was refinancing my house and my bank had this company handle the closing. I was experiencing some difficulty with my bank. "Lakes title" helped smooth things out. She was very knowledgeable and helpful, when it came to my situation. I was very impressed! I would recommend this company to anyone!

Lakes Title made a HUGE error when I sold my mom’s house. The house was part of a trust & there was also a life estate interest. Even though I provided them with all the necessary paperwork & explained to them that there was a life estate interest, Lakes Title did not take in to consideration the life estate interest & therefore, incorrectly calculated the proceeds from the sale. I had to hire an accountant & an attorney to get this corrected, which cost the trust a considerably amount of money. Lakes Title would not take responsibility for their own error. I would not recommend Lakes Title.
