Dr Lago is Not qualified to do pilonidal cysts surgery. I suffered for 15 plus years cause of Dr Lago and he left as open incision which has high failure rate. The wound drained every day. The worst part is he pushed me off to another surgeon after he couldn’t figure out what to do. I was blessed as I found a skilled surgeon recently that did cleft lift procedures and I’m healed now. Dr Lago ruined my quality of life for years. Don’t make the same mistake I made. Go somewhere else.

My son is having an abcess and he needed to see Dr. Largo but due to my insurance I need to have reffreal form. I had appointment in morning with Dr. Joseph but the apppintment referral form was not updated. They could have easily said no and send me back but they went out of the way to help me. When I walked in Ms. Judi was helping me to get me in and after that Ms. Kim walked in and helped me on how to get refferal forms and made sure my son gets seen rightaway. She was on top of it till I got the referral form from my doctor office. I am really thankful to Kim for helping us with patience. The entire staff was great and they helped us to put my son on schedule. Thank you Kim, Judi and Amanda for your service. Our experience with Dr. Joseph was also great. He explained the situation very well and helped us understand what and how it needs to be done. This was my first time visit to this office and I am very satsfied. I saw few bad reviews of staff being rude but I experienced the other way around so wanted to write this review. I usually do not write reviews. I hope this helps. Thank you.

I have had a great experience with Dr Lago. His staff were very understanding about my condition and set me up with the earliest appointment. Dr Lago treated me with prescription medication and it is almost fully healed. 🙂

So great how they got me in to their practice so quickly. The nurse, billing and staff could not have been friendlier. I was not kept waiting. Dr. Lago was prompt, knowledgeable, kind and genuinely sympathetic. Great experience!

Dr. Lago was wonderful and has a great personality. However, his billing department makes the experience HORRIBLE! I thought a procedure we scheduled would be billed as medically necessary on my insurance, but it wasn't and I did not find out until the day before my procedure. I called the office multiple times asking to be connected to billing, but my calls are never answered and no one returns my voice messages I leave. Even after the procedure, (where I was required to pay up front), they did not return my call. This was nearly 2 months ago and I have yet to get them on the phone, but I did get another bill from them

Horrible care, Horrible experience. I had major surgery with Dr. Charles Lago. He was late to surgery (very unprofessional). On surgery day, All the scheduled patients had to wait almost two hours because he showed up late. He never visited me after he operated on me. Poor post op care and follow up. Furthermore, He has his office charge patients for time off from work to heal (to fill out a required work form). If you are going to have surgery, you are going to need time off to heal-plain and simple. I was told that I should “just be lucky that it’s $25, because it used to be $50.” What ever happened to the common courtesy to your patients? Poor bedside manner. Dr. Lago is cold, arrogant, condescending, sarcastic, and uncaring.
He barely gives you an examination. He doesn’t really look you over. He is in and out the exam room in a matter of minutes. He half listens to you, he is frequently talking over you, and he down plays all of your complaints and concerns. He is not a good doctor at all. The Plantation office staff is VERY rude, uncaring, discourteous, condescending, and unprofessional, to say the least.
Spend your insurance dollars elsewhere.
All I can say is, I wish that I had chosen a better doctor. Do your research. Consumer Beware.

He saved my life in 2008. Dr. Lago performed a colonoscopy and he found a large tumor in my intestine. He performed surgery soon thereafter removing the tumor and resectioning my intestines. Successful recovery!! I continue to get tested with him and continue to refer new patients to him.

Dr. Lago is awesome. What could have been a really uncomfortable / embarrassing exam was a very pleasant experience. I’m grateful for the time he took to explain things. Super doctor. Also, the rest of the staff was great (really fun ladies at the front. Made my day.)
