L & H Services is an outstanding knowledgeable company. I found them while doing a search to find someone who works on boilers about 13 years ago. Since then I’ve used them exclusively for all of my hvac needs. They really work hard on getting people out to you asap. Their prices are very fair and their work ethic is superior. They’ve trouble shot several issues no other company could find a solution for and came up with the best solutions. All of their technicians know their stuff and are as friendly as can be. As a single female homeowner I appreciate feeling safe and informed with their technicians. They are honest and take their time thoroughly explaining the processes to me so I better understand the mechanics. I highly respect their skills in their trade and appreciate knowing I can count on them.

L&H Services Inc was amazing. Here is my story. I am in the real estate business and know a thing or two about the proper way to cool/heat and insulate. I really wanted to install a Bosch heat pump in my Burr Ridge condo. I did extensive research on different brands and decided to go with the new Bosch Bova Inverter System that you can use for both heating and cooling.

I then started calling different services (11 in total), and when I asked about the heat pump, most of them were not knowledgeable at all and didn't have the right answers. They would recommend different brands (usually the ones that they carry or even different parts altogether just because it's convenient for them). The ones that supposedly knew and were authorized to install still didn't know technical questions when asked. It was so funny that one of the guys commented after I left the room: 'I will need a massage after this guy.' L.O.L. I was squeezing them for knowledge, and they couldn't deliver.

But here comes Mike and L&H Services Inc. Mike not only knew the answer literally by the book to all the questions asked, but he also knew other very important details regarding cooling and heating as a whole. This guy was a book of knowledge and a very rare find. He did an absolutely AMAZING job, and I wish other services could at least learn a fraction from his book of knowledge. Mike and his team are on the spot not only with parts, equipment, or organization but also with respect and genuine interest in the client's needs and wants.

This review should be a true testament to the level of service or, should I say, excellence that Mike and L&H Services Inc are providing.
L&H Services Inc is highly recommended. My clients are using them on a regular basis because they know from my experience what kind of service they can expect. Thank you, Mike & L&H Services Inc, for the AWESOME job you did and for the friendship too.

We’ve used L&H multiple times for rapid response and emergency HVAC needs. Always on point, professional, and fair priced. Definitely recommend these folks. Pictured is a furnace, AC, and humidifier we needed detached and reset so we could remove moldy drywall behind them.

Are you worried about paying way too much for an HVAC repair?

We called L&H because our furnace stopped working. It's not the first time we called L&H--we've used them before when we had issues with our furnace (our furnace is 27 years old but in excellent shape because we keep it well maintained.)

We received a call back and were told that they couldn't find parts for a furnace that old and we would need to replace the entire furnace for approximately $5500. That was for a single stage Armstrong furnace. It would be more if we wanted to put in a two-stage furnace like the one we currently have.

We called another shop for a second opinion and they came out and found some heater vents that were blocked, pushed a button to reset a circuit breaker on a blower fan (that we bought from L&H about 5 years ago!) and the problem was fixed. Total cost $80.

The second repairman recommended we replace a flame sensor because it was slightly loose, but that wasn't a critical problem. He also said parts are readily available and ordered it for us to replace later. This is one of the parts L & H said was no longer available.

We received a bill for about $200 from L & H. I called and spoke with them about what had transpired hoping they would (obviously!) waive the bill they sent us. They said they would take $50.00 off the bill and could not explain why they wanted to sell us a $5500 furnace instead of just pushing the circuit breaker button on the blower motor they sold us about 5 years ago.

Even more amazing? L&H denied trying to sell us a new furnace. I repeated back the quote they gave us along with the brand name (Armstrong) and they STILL denied ever telling us we needed a new furnace.

So, my experience with L & H was they tried to charge us $5500 while their competition charged $80 for the repair.

Obviously we don't recommend them and have taken them off our preferred vendor list.

They tried to charge me $4000 for a service of a product that was under warranty, ( they had installed the new AC Bosch unit in late summer 2022) but this company told me it wasn’t under warranty. They claim the unit was broken due to vandalism !, that the vandals were trying to steal copper. I called 2 other companies that disagree with this claim: copper was on the exterior pipes and those were unharmed, the most likely scenario was the technician forgot to put several screws on the outside panel and the weather got to it eventually. One of the other companies I hired got a hold of Bosch and we were able to proceed under the warranty for $1000. That’s a difference of 3K. This company is dishonest, doesn’t take accountability for their actions and doesn’t have an official representation with Bosch as they claim

It sucks when your furnace decides to let you down as the coldest days of the year hit, but the team at L&H can make it suck a lot less. Nobody likes an expensive repair bill to be sure, but I've always had great service, quality parts, and friendly technicians that explained everything thoroughly to me. I'll be using you guys from now on and suggesting all my friends do the same.

This company was used for a estimate. Bruce, the Consultant was very professional. He knew that I had a very important appointment and he was at my home way before scheduled. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything that I needed to know in order for me to make an intelligent decision. Also, I loved his friendliness and his confidence in the company as well as his ability to do an excellent job. I would without a doubt use this company if not now, most certainly in the future.

L & H did a great job with my tankless water heater and softener install. Mike was extremely personable and knowledgeable with the estimate. Bruce and his crew had everything done and running by the time I got home from work. All plumbing work was clean and done professionally. Would recommend to anyone!
