I cannot attest to the level of justice given or the fairness of the judges inside the courtroom, but the grounds were cool. It’s an historic courthouse, not quite as old as some other ones in Virginia, but still older. There were several war memorials including an obelisk for the Confederate dead, a plaque with all those who served and those perished in the Great War (interesting detail caught me off-guard, see if you notice it as well), and a cannon, which was awesome. A small inscription notes that if names are wished to read off the obelisk, to go inside the courthouse since this old monument has fallen victim to time and Mother Nature. Worth a stop if passing by on Kings Highway/VA-3, but apologies if you’re required to be here by law, hah, cheers.

Not a fan of this court at all, I end up getting my license suspended and had to go to the dmv to get a restricted license. The DMV said that they don’t have any of my information and the court did not put it in their system. I called them and they said oh our mistake, we will do that for you now with them knowing if I got pulled over without a license it would be heavy consequences so I am staying out of king George county for now on.

once you can actually get past the officers in the front the staff has been nothing but nice. however, the officers and the front and even the janitorial staff i've encountered have been extremely rude and condescending in my two visits to the building. they’re extremely unaware that they are the public servants in this interaction

If you are coming here to fight a ticket, save the time and court costs. You will be guilty no matter what and be forced to pay court fees that will likely exceed your original ticket amount. If you have evidence, you are still guilty. Don't want points? They try to make a deal with everyone to sign up for the driver improvement classes. Total hussle.
