I have not had the benefit of a mediation w Kennedy but I have had the experience of mediation with another mediator former judge in another law firm. I see a benefit to having a mediator who is not in practice with a law firm. Of what I know of Kennedy from years ago. I imagine she would enter a mediation being knowledgeable of the significant issues. I am writing this after leaving a mediation where I did not get to choose the mediator. As with most things, I would imagine preparation facilitates success. Good luck.
