I recently used Mr. Shaw for his services to help obtain custody of my children. It started out as something small and by the end I had made so many changes and went in a completely different direction than when he first took my case. He gladly represented me and my wishes. Everytime I change plans or anything he was there for what I needed and wanted. He gave me good advise when I wanted to do something different. Worst lawyer ever. I would never recommend him to anyone. He took my money but didn’t do anything for me. He said I would win but after I had paid thousands of dollars to him, he told me I would lose. He even made inappropriate comments about my 16 year old daughter. After getting a new lawyer I did win. Thank goodness I chose to look elsewhere and find a better lawyer to represent me.

Joseph is an amazing attorney... I have been a client of his for over a year and a half in a high conflict custody case. I called him up after reading a review from a client where he took on multiple attorneys and still won the case. Working with him now...I can totally see him doing that.

He has a way of blending professionalism, a positive attitude, and this authoritative presence that commands respect and seems to take charge of the courtroom. This unique combination of personality traits reflects in his ability to negotiate...and ,oh my, can he negotiate. I've never seen anything like it. If Joseph Shaw were an artist with as much skill as I've seen him practice law, most other lawyers around him would appear to be stuck on finger painting technique.

What's crazy is I never felt like he had even missed a beat on my case, in all the cases he had, he was able to compartmentalize and remember everything about mine. He was also personal, not just a great lawyer, but a great man. There is no doubt he cares about me and my daughter.

I ,as a father, now have custody of my daughter because of him..and I can't thank him enough. It was such a high conflict custody case, it took a lot out of me, but Joseph fought unbelievably hard. If family court is an immovable object, Joseph Shaw is the unstoppable force, I know now the worst mistake I could have made is NOT having him as my attorney. Thank you, Joey!

Joey and Jared are the only two attorneys that made me feel like they truly cared about ALL the people involved, as well as the outcome. This is my personal opinion based solely from working with both of them, while winding my way through the judicial system of Baldwin County, in what has been a multitude of very difficult hearings over a 6 year period. After 6 months he did nothing on my case. When mediation came. He had NOTHING prepared and offered no plan for mediation even commenting he forgot to plug his laptop in. WORST EVER!!

I found Mr. Shaw after having been presented with the initiation of one of the most difficult times of my life. I was terrified about what would happen, without any idea on where to start. Mr. Shaw took my case, when I was up against a fast approaching date. He was well-informed about the judge that would be hearing my case. He told me what to expect and what I needed to prepare. He gave me reasonable expectations on the outcome of what turned out to be multiple hearings. Mr. Shaw made me feel like I really had someone on my side, and that I could trust him with something that would affect the rest of my life. He was aggressive when necessary, (which is what one hopes for, when someone is fighting on their behalf) yet patient with me. I never felt rushed on the phone with her. She is very knowledgeable, and answered a multitude of questions for me, that were within the scope of her ethical boundaries. I got a very fast turnaround on emails, and phone calls. They truly made me feel like I wasn’t alone in this, and that I had people fighting with me. I have already recommended Mr. Shaw’s practice to multiple people. And I would recommend this practice to anyone that is faced with an issue that falls into the scope of his practice. I am very thankful for their commitment, and I feel very lucky that I found him before the other party did.
