Bear with me, because this is sort of a strange review: the Blackstone Memorial Library is just a beautiful building! I'm a wedding photographer and one of my couples recently wanted to take photos outside of the library for their engagement session. They called ahead and a friendly employee told them that we could have at it: the outside grounds were perfectly fine for photographs. We had a great time and made some cool photographs. The staff were very accommodating, definitely making me want to go back some day!

Very beautiful old building and helpful staff. The Dome is painted with historical scenes and there is a beautiful Mosaic on the floor beneath it

I can understand placing the restrooms in the basement, that makes sense.
But no water fountains anywhere on the 1st or 2nd floors? That's simply hostile.

The library staff are very friendly and helpful. A very nice historical building too. Something for all ages here. Comfortable reading area's. Definitely worth visiting.

Every wk my toddler and I are stuck here while my 8 yo gets tutored here. They’re making some renovations and it’s understandable that space is limited however each time I’ve asked for a small accommodation so that my 2 yo is not disrupting folks they have excuses and look at me like I have 6 heads. I feel very unwelcome here!
