these people are so cruel and many other people agree with me. me and my two friends were eating oranges and apples and got our hands sticky and dirty so we all decided to go inside and wash our hands but when we got inside they told us that we needed parents like we don't know what we are doing they went and asked someone if we could wash our hands and as we were about to go in the bathroom they sat there '' monitoring '' us and told us to go in there one at a time.when we would get out of the bathroom they would ask us things like ''why didnt you wash your hands'' or ''why didn't you flush the toilet'' like we know what we are doing we don't need your help. we left and all three of the workers came outside calling the cops and whining about how we were to ''loud" "distracting others" and we were doing nothing but looking at books and playing checkers. one of the old ladies kept on checking on us thinking we were going to steal a book and what reason makes you think that we want to steal a book when we first went there they didnt say anything at all we got solar eclipse glasses and went to go look at books and played checkers when we left they told us that we need parents next time we go like its literally and "public library'' the next time we went there is to wash our hands and they called the cops when we left telling lies about us saying that we were loud and disrupting them and other people. i def dont recommened coming to this horrible library.

I live in Europe and was looking for an article that appeared in a 2008 April Hope Star issue. They found it for me in no time, and sent the digital copy in an email immediately. Absolutely fantastic service. I'm truly humbled.

I’m the summer the Library host weekly shows/activities for children like Balloon Man, Magic Man, a theater play ect. I love our little library. The sweetest ladies work there. They've gone out of their way to get titles I've asked for, and always stay on top of new releases.

The new library is amazing! The staff are super friendly and helpful. And if you have younger kids I would definitely bring them the kids section has a lot of newer books and classic ones!

Trying to research Hempstead County. Staff told us they had no books about the county. Not one single book! They do have wifi so researching online worked. There were no electrical plugs at the large table only Cat 5 wiring or empty boxes. We found a table for two facing the back wall that had electrical outlets to plug in our computers. Then the staff were very loud (we could hear them despite wearing earbuds and listening to music) and it continued for the 4 hours we were there. The building looks brand new but it is a bad design. The ceiling is an open design with the industrial beams exposed so any noise echoes throughout the building. The staff were friendly but the overall experience was a sad disappointment for a library.
