Good ambience. But not the expected selection of books, particularly the academic sections. Probably, I expected differently due to it also doubling up as a library for UConn. Only one level was functional. Others are under renovation.

How do you sell off the downstairs floor to Uconn? Now no one can go down there. This was a public library.

This place is amazing in every way! The staff is great, even security is reasonable and nice. I fell asleep which is a no-no, which I understand why was undone by a simple tap on the table and advice of standing up and walking to wake me up. The book collection is great. Many, many daily, weekly and monthly subscriptions are available as well as plenty of computers. They also have individual study rooms. Clean bathrooms. I can't say any negative about this great resource I use very often. Great place!

The library staff is rude and make the people that use it feel uncomfortable. the building is usually empty on all 3 floors. I have seen the staff hover over their customers and ask inappropriate questions. I informed the customers to report the staff and put it writing so that it never happens again. An email device needs to be put in different areas of the building so that customers can put their concerns and complaints in writing. All that money spent renovating the building and the staff treating the customers like trash.

A great resource for public information. They have q good collection of books, friendly staff, and a good cataloging system.

They also house a satellite branch of the American Job Center, to help those who wish to find employment find it, and even find training to gain a better prospect of employment.

Gorgeous library, beautiful building. We came here for an event and this is one of the only public places that allow you to drink. (According to some guy at the event). It is clean, new and while I can't speak for the book selection per se, just by my observations it appears that they have the latest books. They offer lots of programs, seminars, and you can even get your passport forms done here. It's a great place!

I don't know what the staff there have jobs for because all they do is sit up there and talk to each other and play in their hair you can get you can barely get help at the printers or anything the only people that help you is helpful as Ms. Burke in the workforce part of the library but the rest of them are just there to sit and eat and talk on the phone and talk to each other and you ignore people when they asking him a question

Such a beautiful building, with something always going on. My only complaint would be that so much of the library's actual collection of books is only accessible by request or ILL. Browsing is very limited by the amount of floor space dedicated to the Main Branch's other uses as a cultural and community center. Which are great! I'm just saying- I want to read those books in that cage in the basement. Free the stacks!
