Tricia Goostree is awesome. I’ve been through 2 other attorneys and they were not nearly as diligent as her. She knows what she’s doing. The only mistake was not having her through my entire divorce process. She’s helping in the aftermath of a 3 year divorce. I do not think the other attorney’s believed what I told them about my ex husband but as time passed, he showed his true colors. Now everything I should have received in the divorce proceedings such as sole custody has finally happened. She’s helping change things in the divorce decree that never should have been there. In my opinion, my recent journey with Goostree Law Group, P.C., stands in sharp contrast to the praise I once gave them—see the attached image of my own 5-star review from six years ago. Back then, I believed in their support, but now, I feel that the firm has taken a disappointing turn. It seems to me they reassigned my attorney mid-case without my input, and I felt that the new lawyer, Marcee Duvall, showed little care about my son’s alienation, which pained me as a father. This shift left me uneasy about their commitment.
Moreover, it appears to me their fee practices were overly harsh. I felt pressured when they repeatedly threatened to abandon my case over payment delays, which, to me, felt unjust given my financial struggles. This, in my view, soured our relationship, and I believe their February 2025 withdrawal worsened my legal standing. The communication, to my mind, was lacking, and the service quality dipped, especially once they knew I was stretched thin.
I once recommended them highly, but now, I think hiring them today isn’t worth the turmoil. It seems to me others should beware to avoid my heartache. This is my personal take, shared to guide others.

Tricia Goostree helped me get my life back. I was up against it and Tricia stepped in and stepped up. My ex is an elected and highly connected local lawyer. My ex pressed me at every turn and on all fronts, repeatedly suggesting that I did not need a lawyer (because I am one) and that what she proposed was fair. While I don't typically like to do reviews like this, I feel it is necessary. My GAL from this law firm, felt it better to award a convicted felon custody. Why, because that individual could retain custody over the marital estate, with family help. Nevermind the fact that the same GAL, posted a OP against said individual for harassment. Or the fact that they had my ex forcefully removed by the SCPD, with my kids in tow from their office. This law firm is primarily interested with money they get up front, than actual justice. They will accept it from those with means to pay, and sacrifice integrity to do so. Just listen in to how they talk amongst colleagues in the "halls of justice." You know who you are, and still can't look me in the eye.
