Michael’s preparation and determination saved my life and quite possibly, my career in social work. As a recent graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work, I had a tremendous amount at stake. After threatening to commit suicide, I was charged with negligent discharge of a firearm and assault with a firearm, both serious felonies that mandated state prison. I was accused of pointing a firearm at a victim, threatening to kill him before turning the gun on myself. We were horrified and my parents hired Michael based on his reputation and experience after first giving money to a lawyer that did nothing for me. At the Preliminary hearing, Michael’s cross-examination positioned us to get the best result possible. Michael declined all early offers and met with a Supervising DA who better understood the mental health and stress factors involved. I ended up with probation, 90 days in rehab and will get a misdemeanor in 18 months. Michael was patient, creative and he kept his word to my family. Michael Goldstein is by far the best lawyer i’ve ever had the pleasure to meet and beyond grateful he is representing my husband during this awful series of events. He was initially charged with 2 counts of premeditated attempted murder. “Like a miracle sent down from above, Michael Goldstein accomplished what previous lawyers said was impossible.” I was charged with 10 felony counts in an 18 defendant insurance fraud case and the DA wanted to send me to state prison.
