Today was my last day at Fyzical Therapy and Balance Center in Niles, IL. I could barely stay vertical when I began eye-balance therapy with Michael Kanai in late September. I was using a rollator because it felt liked I was trying to stand in a small boat in rough waters. When I got in bed at night and closed my eyes, it felt like my bed was doing somersaults.

I faithfully did my home exercises for the 3 months I had PT, usually doing double to quadruple sets instead of just the number assigned. My therapist, Michael Kanai was very patient, encouraging, and skilled. I no longer need my Rollator. I often forget to even use my cane. I will continue with a modified home exercise program daily to keep my new range of motion.

Prior to therapy, I had extremely limited mobility in my neck in all directions. Today, I have made improvements of roughly 30% to 90% in both balance and mobility in most of the areas since my initial evaluation. With my muscular neurologist’s prescription, my health insurance covered 100% of on my program. It has been life-changing for me. My quality of like at aged 78 has improved dramatically!

I’ve been coming to this Niles center for various rehabs for years! This is the place to come if you want very personal care. Even though they’re company owned, each center is one-on-one, therapist to patient, the whole appointment. No handing off to a PT assistant. They make you feel very important and encourage you every step of the way. They’re also very personable. A lot of laughing goes on among patients and therapists. All the therapist know other patients, just not their own.

I loved working with Alvic. He started out slowly and knew exactly when my therapy for my knees was ready for the next steps. Always challenged me for just a little more every time. He’s very personable and has the greatest smile! It was hard to say goodbye.

You will always have that personal attention & great results from them.

I have finally found a place for physical therapy to help me with balance. After having a concussion, they are helping me put the brain and movements back in alignment. It's working thanks to the 1:1 therapy, individualized and unique approach to the work. Therapist is great as well as all staff. Warm and welcoming. Highly recommend it!

My primary PT is Alvic and I also have worked with Ruth, Maria and Ulises. They get to know their patients and their needs and help them get better with 1:1 care.

They are all and I mean ALL are very professional, knowledgeable and personable. It’s like a big family there and they make it a fun environment. They are all such wonderful people and a great team! You can’t go wrong with any one of them.

They have set the benchmark high and I can’t imagine going anywhere else.
