I was scared to find a new dentist, as I had been going to my previous one since I was 3 years old! Now that I aged out of it, I am grateful that East Hampton Family Dental was my first choice, everyone is very kind and understanding. I first visited East Hampton Family Dental about two years ago when my teeth were in very poor condition. I was diagnosed with gum disease, and years of inadequate dental care had caused permanent damage. From the very beginning, Dr. Canakala and her entire staff made the treatment process simple and stress-free.

Over the past two years, I have slowly undergone treatment, and I never imagined my gums could be this healthy again. I’ve been to many dentists in my life, and I always feared that my condition would only get worse instead of better. But this team proved me wrong.

I waited to write this review because I wanted to see the long-term quality of their work, and I can confidently say that I am beyond happy with the results. Dr Canakala’s dental office has been my favorite dental practice that I have been to ever. I moved to East Hampton 3 years ago and needed a new dentist. I was so pleased to discover her practice. My husband had originally decided on another dentist in town, however he quickly switched over and has been very pleased himself. Dr. Canakala’s relaxing personality makes you feel comfortable and well cared for. She asks the right questions and always answers questions with meaningful responses. I believe she genuinely cares that you are receiving the best dental experience you can get. Kait has been my dental hygienist since I started at EHFD. She is a wonderful person. Kait has been so informative in her dental advice and she is such a personable person to interact with. I have experienced painful dental cleanings in the past with other practices, but have no worries ever with Kait!! Thank you to Donna and Nancy who are always pleasant to interact with and helpful with any questions I might have. I would highly recommend East Hampton Family Dental to anyone looking for a team you can trust and a team you know you are in good hands with.

I was both pleased and impressed with my experience at East Hampton Family Dental (CT). Dr. Canakala runs an efficient and yet personable practice. Everyone: the receptionist, the hygienists, and, especially, the doctor herself, was welcoming and considerate throughout. I was regularly provided with helpful insights on the procedures, and the high level of pain management was extraordinary. A most excellent choice for dental services!
