I wanted to personally come on here and share my experience with an Attorney in this firm. Her name is Katelyn Price. Even thinking about what she did for me, makes me cry. I met her at a friends house. She overheard me speaking about a very UNJUST situation that I had found myself in, yet again. She stated that she was going to represent me PRO BONO just because it was the right thing to do. I had no money to pay her or the court and she understood this, but saw I needed help. I have seen much Injustice in my life and the lives of others. Not one time has anyone ever had my back or helped me in a selfless way, or stood up for me knowing it was right. Katelyn is selfless, fearless, compassionate, intelligent and hardworking. You want her in your corner! I’m still blown away that this stranger, who is now my friend, wanted to help me because it was the right thing to do and I couldn’t help myself. We need more people like Katelyn in this world, fighting and believing for others who can’t do this for themselves! God Bless this beautiful person and all who come along her path. The icing on the cake is that because Katelyn stepped in to represent me, the Judge dismissed the case against me as there were no grounds and we never had to go to trial! Hallelujah! ♥️

Hired Derek Pica for Child Custody.

Our son hired Pica as he wanted full custody of his son.
He achieved this but we believe it was only because the mother backed out of the fight.
We were not impressed with Pica at all.
Errors in paperwork.
He is not an aggressive lawyer.
We felt he was not personally caring.
We do not recommend him.
We will not use him again.

I began my battle with the judicial system in January 2017. Unfortunately I did not find Derek Pica until October 2019. Severe damage was done to my case by two previous attorneys, including me, in my attempt to represent myself. I have never seen anyone work as hard as Mr. Pica to try and help me, ensure my case was heard, and to ask for fairness and justice. I will always be forever grateful for Mr. Pica and his relentless professionalism and moral compass, to ask people, including other attorneys, forensic investigators, and judges to do the right thing. I consider myself very lucky to have found Mr. Pica, but more importantly that Mr. Pica agreed to represent me. I highly recommend Derek Pica to anyone who needs an attorney. My case required written closings to be submitted to the judge after my trial. After reading Mr. Pica's closing argument, I became even more impressed with his quality of work. It was very apparent Mr. Pica put a tremendous amount of thought and research into his closing argument. As an engineer I read and review lengthy reports every day. Mr. Pica's closing argument was beyond perfection and more than I could have asked for.

Incompetence doesn't even begin to describe how bad this attorney is. I should have known this the day I met him when his office was a complete mess of files. I used him for a divorce back in 2018. I asked him to give me an estimate of what the cost would be. He told me if it was a non -contested child custody case(which it was) it should run me around $3,000. Years later due to him never following up on his own work the bill ran over $10,000. I did the vast majority of work gathering information for him. I would give him copies of how my pension and annuity wanted the QDRO drafted and he would still screw it up. Every time I would call him to see how things were progressing (which I was very apprehensive to do because I knew he hit the meter button every time his phone rang) he would act like it was the first time we ever talked and I could tell he had done nothing. Basically this man had me over a barrel as I had already invested so much time and money into him. When pushing $10,000 and questioning what was going on he would turn it on me saying he's not going to fight. I had to reel him back in and let him know we weren't fighting but rather he was being asked legitimate questions. The one thing I will say good about this man was his secretary who could see I was being screwed over I his incompetence. She was the brains and worker of this operation. I wish I could give him zero stars as his incompetence and laziness cost me a lot of time and money.

Unlike some of the negative reviews, Mr. Pica represented ME, not the other party. A party who lost to Mr. Pica can then write a negative Google review of Mr. Pica!! Be that as it may, here is my experience with Mr. Pica.

I was involved in a complicated, multi-part lawsuit involving me as the plaintiff and a municipality, a multistate bank, and a real estate developer - all as defendants. The other side had multiple attorneys representing the bank, the City had its attorney, the developer hired one of the largest law firms in Idaho. Mr. Pica was methodical. He READ the minutes of City Council meetings for a two year period. He READ the public notices printed in the official newspaper of the City. His KNOWLEDGE of all of the details of my case was impressive. We won our case against all defendants. One of them appealed to the Idaho Supreme Court and we won there as well, setting a new precedent in Idaho law. Mr. Pica's fees were not cheap, but they were fair, and he absolutely earned every penny of it, with hard work. No padding the billable hours. Had I been represented by anyone else, I am convinced that I would have paid more in attorney's fees, and may well have ended up with nothing to show for it. As it turned out in my case, not only did I get a 7 figure judgment, but I got all of my attorney's fees awarded to me - with interest!! He did a great job, and I don't think you can do any better than Derek A. Pica!!

Derek was referred to me from a friend from work who had excellent results. My experience was the same if not better. Unlike many attorneys in this field who attempt to generate income from dragging on cases (read that drama) and not achieving results, Mr Pica’s rates were reasonable, always attempted to not waste time in endeavors that just increased billable hours and most importantly achieved the results that I was looking for. In the end he also recovered half of my attorney’s fees from the other party. All of this was done while navigating the courts in an ethical manner and looking to minimize needless drama. I’m have also used him successfully in contract business disputes. I highly recommend his practice.
