Recently a former meth addict I used to work for/with asked me to chat with his attorney Michael Wagner so I could collect on bad debt FMA's (former meth addict's) family owed me.

The reason I was negotiating with former meth addict was due to a $15,000 signature loan I took out and gave to his wife (now ex wife) so FMA, his 2 boys under 5 and his wife wouldn't lose their home when FMA had just gotten out of rehab. His wife never paid 15 payments of $320 and since my father had been ill, plus I had taken risks financially to start a business, I was in a tough spot financially and was reaching out to people who owed me money to see if I could be repaid. Talking with former meth addict on our last phone conversation he had absolutely no gratitude for what I had done for him, seemed like he felt he was entitled to my help years ago and really seemed embarrassed for me that I was asking for him to make good on the loan I gave his family. when they were going through tough times due to his meth addiction. My agreement with his ex wife was that when they got back on their feet I would see the remaining 15 payments. That was 12 years ago and former meth addict has had ownership in at least 1 dealership since 2017 and is now is managing partners in 2 dealerships here in Illinois. I felt like they were back on their feet. Just 1 problem, former meth addict has started over with a younger wife and 3 new children under 5, so my sacrifice made for his former family was not seen as valuable in my opinion and somehow the reminder of it was a threat to him. Enter Michael Wagner.

So swallowing the throw up in my mouth after speaking with former meth addict, I chatted with Michael Wagner (his attorney) on Tuesday and Michael knew that time was of the essence due the tough financial circumstances I found myself in. Due to his client, FMA being condescending and rude to me on the phone our last call, I was just ready to get this over with and get paid what I was owed over 12 years ago from his family.

The reason I'm writing a negative review on his attorney was due to the terrible communication I received from Michael during a really stressful time plus the over reach he attempted when trying to settle this bad debt with me.

I went ahead and uploaded pictures of the release former meth addict instructed his attorney Michael Wagner have me sign. As you can see, they (almost) want me to release everybody former meth addict ever breathed on in order to get $4800 I was owed 12 years ago by former meth addict's family.

As for communication issues? On Tuesday 5/14 Michael Wagner told me I would see the release in my email by that afternoon and should have wire by week end. Tuesday afternoon came and went, so did all of Wednesday. On Thursday morning I reached out and asked Wagner if he had sent it, he claimed their exchange servers went down on Tuesday, they should be back up anytime and I should have document that afternoon. On Friday morning I called and spoke with an admin person. She did not confirm there had been issues with their exchange servers for all 3 days which I found odd but still I gave Wagner the benefit of the doubt. I saw release a few hours later on FRIDAY and it basically assumes the person signing it was a moron. I uploaded it so you can see what I'm referring to.

I feel like i was so agreeable on the phone that Michael Wagner assumed I would sign whatever I needed to, to get the bad debt owed to me and in my opinion he tried advantage of my agreeableness with the release he sent.

Finally I'm going to comment on Michael Wagner's performance with me, if you want attorneys who will take 3.5 days to get a document executed this firm is probably the right fit for you.
