Kathryn was crucial in my husbands custody case. We had a 10 year long legal battle for custody with his ex and absolutely needed Kathryn to step in to assist. Thank goodness we were finally able to get an impartial person like her involved to review all the facts of the case, talk to his daughter, talk to us, etc. to finally help us move forward - even when she was PRO BONO. We never felt like we were an afterthought and we always believed that her heart is in this to actually determine what is best for the child. We are forever grateful for her help.

Kathryn is easily one of the best and most caring and professional people/ lawyers I have ever had the privilege of working with. She truly cares about her job and who she represents she ALWAYS PUTS THE CHILD FIRST. She is charismatic and cares so deeply about what she does. She is also a great listener, which I find very important especially because some lawyers I've worked with in the past can not get over their own ego and believe they have every detail. Over all, I would recommend no one higher than Kathryn Ciesla.

With reading some of her other reviews as I write my review, it is clear that someone was not ruled in favor of and it is a shame on that family for attacking a woman who strives so hard to put their child in the best situation possible. So remember to take all reviews with a grain of salt because there may be underlying nasty motivations behind a scathing review.

Kathryn Ciesla is one of the best lawyers I have ever worked with. I had a horrible, messy divorce and many different lawyers who made the process more complicated it needed to be. Kathryn got to know me as a person and took into account all of the reasons I wanted to divorce my husband. She treated me like a real person and a friend, not just another client. She always kept me up to date through every moment and gave me reasonable expectations for the end results. I would recommend her to every person going through a divorce.

I wish I could give a zero rating. Our case has been deemed "the most mismanaged case in cook county. She doesn't stand for co-parenting. She literally quit on the morning the judge was going to fire her from our case. She doesn't do her job. She's biased and I even think she secretly had a thing for my ex wife. Couldn't keep her own marriage together but hey let's let her judge other people...smh...

Never in a million years did I think I would be divorced, let alone writing an extremely positive review for a divorce attorney. Let's be honest, no one really wants to hire a divorce attorney, even if you're ready to move forward in life.

Jennifer was an absolute blessing to me and my son under the very worst of circumstances. I won't divulge details, but, common opinion is the circumstance of my divorce were exceptionally difficult both emotionally and logistically.

Jennifer was always readily available by email, phone, or text. We were in nearly daily contact. She was extremely responsive, professional, thorough, and clear. She made every overwhelming situation feel more manageable. There was always a clear understanding of what next steps were to be taken. She set very reasonable expectations of what the process would entail and the likely outcomes- sometimes it was not what I wanted to hear, but it was always the truth and prepared me for the reality of the court system.

Jennifer was my attorney, but she also become my confidant and partner to weather the storm. She cared deeply about getting my life back on track and making sure my son was set up for lifelong success.

As my divorce ended in 2019, I truly became a little scared to face the storm alone. She had been my voice of reason and support. I really didn't want to lose the feeling of her support, empathy.... her safety net and protection.

I haven't. She and I have remained in contact and I know she still deeply cares and shares in the joy of my new life unfolding. She has helped in several issues since then, always timely and without making me feel like Im just one of her invaluable, former clients.

I was referred to Jennifer by a friend of mine who shares the exact same sentiments and gratitude for Jennifer. I have referred 3 friends to Jennifer. All 3 of my friends deeply appreciated her thorough, clear, empathetic but strong approach.

I am grateful for her high standard of class and professionalism. I respect Jennifer deeply and it was clear her years of varied legal experience make her respected by the court as well.

Oh, and the fees? Her fees are extremely reasonable given she is direct and efficient. She does not waste time or money. In fact, I expected my last bill to be quite a bit higher than it was.  She was my second attorney, and far more reasonable than my first. My only wish was that I had Jennifer from the very beginning.
