Elisa did a great job for my daughter during a very emotionally distressing time . She got her kids back into her life and represented her well at court in preparation for the oncoming divorce custody hearings that Patricia Chatval will handle . Pat was my divorce attorney twice , and choosing her was the best decision I made . Pat simply is the best divorce attorney in town . Elisa is a true advocate for her clients. Pat is a gentle warrior with a wealth of experience . Heed her advice as one time I didn't, and it slowed my divorce process and cost more, which she was trying to prevent . These are wise attorneys , trust the process, and you will come out ahead . Just look at my example , as I lost my kids for three years, and Pat got them back for me . I hired Patricia Chvatal and her firm to represent me in my divorce and child custody case, and unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing. The entire process dragged on for a whole year, during which I fought tirelessly for child support and custody arrangements that would protect my child. Despite my ongoing concerns about my ex-partner's criminal history, including new charges for misconduct, my efforts to secure sole custody and limit his access to supervised visitation were largely ignored.

I sent numerous emails outlining the serious risks to my child's well-being, hoping my concerns would be taken seriously, but they were consistently overlooked. Despite my efforts, the father was granted visitation rights, and no child support was ever paid during the separation.

Communication from the firm was another major issue. I often had to wait days for responses to emails, and phone calls were rarely returned. It felt like my case was being handled with minimal attention and urgency, while the only thing growing was the balance on my bill.

I was particularly frustrated because I had hoped Patricia, as a mother herself, would be more understanding of my concerns and the urgency of protecting my child. Instead, it seemed like the focus was primarily on the financial aspects of the case rather than on securing a fair and safe resolution.

In the end, I feel like I achieved very little through this process, and I’m left feeling disillusioned and unsatisfied with the outcome. I would not recommend this firm based on my experience.

Highly Not Recommended!
We had a simple custody/child support case against a domestic abuser felon father. We were told
that if there was no contest from the dead beat that we would be refunded part of our $3500 retainer. There was never any contest or response. We went out of our way to provide all needed
information accurately and timely. We called and emailed several times to ask about our case progress but we were rarely responded to. Unsatisfied we had to schedule and meet in person on
three different occasions to remind her what she was suppose to do for us. She took many notes
but obviously forgot to refer to them. Documents were either incorrect or incomplete and some were misplaced and not even submitted to the court timely. We also learned that our $3500 balance was at zero. Still our case not finished we voiced our concern and disappointment due to
our finances. She said “don’t worry about the bill” which we thought meant “I will fix my mistakes”.
(ie. be accountable?). We later found out it meant “you can make payments with interest”… We were then billed another $3600. Foolish us… like Doctors… Attorneys don’t pay for their own mistakes… we do! 8 months later and over $7K in debt on borrowed money… we have custody
only and must continue to pursue child support on our own with the state.
Again… Not Recommended Whatsoever!

Going through divorce is stressful and exhausting. Elisa and Guadalupe relieved that stress and allowed me to focus on every day tasks instead of dwelling on the divorce. The customer service is amazing ( I couldn't think of a better word than amazing or I would have used it). The amount of patience they had with me as they answered all my questions was the icing on the cake for me. They really make you feel welcome and comfortable in all the chaos of divorce. Everyone says divorce is insanely expensive and I was expecting to pay way more for the divorce but that is simply not the case ( I imagine price will vary depending on the situation you're in.) I feel like I took advantage of them because of how little I payed for the entire process. That was the cherry on top of the icing. I can't express how thankful I am for all the support and help with the divorce and parenting plan. Thank you Elisa and Guadalupe! You are truly amazing!

I had both Pat and Elisa on my side during the hardest part of my life. To them I am forever grateful for the strife it took. My case wasn't an easy one. There were so many factors. Each time we went to court it was beyond stressful. But my council always took great care of me. Today I now have majority custody of my children. With my background weighting against me it felt hopeless. But my lawyers pushed me and gave me the right steps to take.
