I came in yesterday (Thursday 12/26) to mail a critical overnight document. An extremely critical document that could arrive no later than the 28th of the month, two days before the end of the year, which is relevant in many business matters.

The apathetic employee casually assured me it would be delivered on Saturday, 12/28, (because I missed the pickup time for a Friday delivery).

I felt like saying three times “Do you PROMISE it will be delivered by Saturday?” because her attitude was so apathetic.

(She had also refused to print the document in color for me because the color printer was upstairs () and she couldn’t leave the downstairs unattended … even though it was 5:15 pm on DEC 26, and NO other customers were there asking for service and there were no other vehicles even in the parking lot. Just me, trying to be a customer. )

Anyway I just checked the tracking to make sure it’s at least on the east coast.
Nope.

It says it will be delivered MONDAY!! *****MONDAY****** DEC 30?

The amount of problems this could cost me is indescribable.

To the employee who showed no interest in being useful, I presume you’re being paid to DO a job, not just occupy space AT a job, and I presume a key element of your job at a FedEx ship center is to know how to ensure you are sending shipments properly and communicating accurately with the customers. At some jobs, employees are even expected to be friendly and helpful as part of their job.

I was surprised when you said it was only $80 to deliver that amount of distance overnight, and now I know why.

Because the guarantee overnight option was evidently not what I was given.

I am indescribably regretful for trusting this business to make sure I can take care of my own business. I should have driven a little farther to a different FedEx.

It’s less than one star.
