I am disappointed in the newspaper coverage of local news, especially sports for the towns of Brownstown and St Elmo school districts. There was a full page spread of the Altamont basketball teams and volleyball teams. However the only coverage for the other two towns consolidated sports team was for the 7th grade girls Basketball team that was 22-0 which was great.
There is also high school boys and girls basketball and junior high basketball for the SEB teams that do not include any coverage of scores or stats or pictures of them in action or as a team. There are very few items in the Altamont News that would encourage a St Elmo or Brownstown citizen to purchase this paper. I know I will be thinking it over when it is time to renew.
