I reached out to Mr. Richard Abdallah on November 4th for legal help with a high-conflict custody case, expressing urgency as my court hearing was less than a month away. During our initial consultation, I was reassured by his professional approach and we discussed my case in detail. I was eager to move forward and sent all the necessary documents via Google Drive. We set an appointment for November 11th, but it was canceled due to illness. I understood and patiently awaited a rescheduled meeting.

Unfortunately, after repeated attempts to follow up by phone and email, I was left without clear communication for several more days. Mr. Abdallah rescheduled our meeting for November 20th at 12:30 pm. However, just minutes before the meeting, I received a call from him informing me that he would not be able to take on my case due to its high conflict nature. This was very frustrating as I had explicitly communicated the complexity of my case multiple times from the beginning, and it felt like my time had been wasted.

Given that my hearing was fast approaching, I was left scrambling to find another attorney at the last minute. While I understand that circumstances can change, I’m disappointed that Mr. Abdallah did not communicate more clearly or upfront about his ability to take on my case, especially after I had provided all the necessary information.

I hope this review helps others make an informed decision. It's unfortunate that my experience didn’t match the positive feedback I had seen elsewhere, but I felt it was important to share the challenges I faced. Communication and honesty are key in legal representation, especially in time-sensitive situations like mine.

Mr. Abdallah came off to me as a super knowledgable and ethical attorney who understands the law. He was recommended to me by 3 different attorneys. His name kept popping up so I decided to give him a call. I have been in pro per and have been doing lots of legal research on my case to keep costs down. He was one of the very few attorneys who was familiar with the case law and statutes for my unique circumstances.
After a quick assessment of my case he recommended I try to settle with the other party and continue working alone to keep costs down and retain services of an attorney closer to trial, provided my matter does not get settled.

Horrible attorney. Didn’t listen to anything we said. Did what he wanted to do anyway. Didn’t show up to court. And then charged us for calling his replacement. Padded his bill till he took almost everything we gave him. Quoted me $150/hr on the phone but changed the price to $300. Saw him once for 15 minutes and never saw him again.
