We closed on our house (as buyers) with Aurora's help and could not be happier - Dawn and the whole team just did a great job. They were prompt and helpful in their responses, helping answer questions along the way and super patient with us as we read the papers and checked things. We had our signing at their office, and I was grateful for the kids toys and books in the corner. It allowed us to finish the process as a family, which was incredibly meaningful for us. We even closed early (and could have even earlier if we'd wanted) because they just took care of everything so smoothly! I would definitely come to Aurora again for any closings in Richmond!

We made a cash offer on a property and were going to use this company to handle the settlement process based on the suggestion of the realtor. However, they were going to charge us 6% of the sale price for closing. 1-3% is standard for cash sales. We chose to work with another title company and ended up only paying 2% in closing costs. This company is robbing clients, and if you don’t work in the industry, you wouldn’t know to question the cost. They are banking on your ignorance.

EDIT: in response to the owner, title insurance premiums are
regulated by state law and are consistent across title companies, but other fees like search fees, escrow fees, and closing fees vary. In your case, considerably.

5 Star title company. I worked with Christopher Young on a smooth-sailing 3 week closing date. I was the Seller. From our first communication to closing I felt secure and at ease. At our in-person closing July 30, 2024 every line item was efficiently explained and I was informed of anticipated next steps. Christopher did a fantastic job with the sale of our condo.

Christopher provided timely communication & excellent customer service through out all the prep work that goes into a sale. I was expecting no less as I remember the spirit of excellence Aurora had the last time I worked with you on a property.

What prompted me to write a letter today was how Chris handled himself when there were quite a few mistakes made by our realtor. When I came to sign the documents yesterday, there was a $4k difference than what I was expecting to be receiving as proceeds of the sale.

Christopher was incredibly patient and understanding, he combed through the document with me to explain each fee & provided a pressure free space for me to make calls on each discrepancy & how I would like to handle it.

When this morning as Christopher had still not heard back from the realtor about what needed to be fixed, he made a way and went above and beyond to provide a solution that would allow us to close today.

I have found that people’s true character becomes known when things go wrong and you see who they really are.
