Amazing. Scheduled a consultation, no call from the attorney. Called back later that afternoon, spoke to the intake coordinator who scheduled another appointment and promised a follow-up email that day. That was yesterday-- no email, still no call from the attorney at the scheduled time or the alternate time I offered.

What a joke, the first question from the “lawyer” : - “What is your income per year?”.
They are very greedy, they ask you to deposit 5000$ minimum just to review your case. Don’t waste your time.

Shelley O'Brien is extremely intelligent. She is a strong civil litigator and has a solid grasp of the rules and so she is able to run circles around opposing counsel. She was senior counsel on one case that we worked on together, and from that she became my mentor and mentored me on two other cases. I've never seen anyone who knows the law and litigation as well as she does. Because she has is a strong civil litigator, she is able to prevail over other counsel. One of her many strengths is in discovery and civil litigation -- an area that most family law attorneys do not do well. Ms. O'Brien is firm here. She is also savvy and strategic in addition to knowing the rules; she knows how to communicate clearly with opposing counsel; she is respected and her decisions are respected. I've seen how her intelligence commanded respect from even the most difficult opposing counsel.

Most law offices in Sacramento provide a 30-45 minutes free consultation to allow for a direct communication between you and your lawyer, but this office does not. They asked me to make a $2,500 before even shacking hands with me. I've done that because I had no time to look for alternatives. They are overpriced than current market hourly rates and my deposit has barely covered 4 hours of working on my case.
