I recently hired Mathew Martinez to represent me in a neighbor dispute turned temporary restraining order. From my initial contact with Mr. Martinez, he was honest and straight forward. His knowledge of the law and process put me at ease so that I didn't spend too much energy worrying about the issue over the holidays. He was responsive when I had questions or needed additional information throughout the process. However, his true strength was shown during the mediation process with his ability to communicate across both parties knowing when to insert additional commentary to help ease the conversation and make it productive. At the end of the stay away trail I told Matthew Martinez that he did a horrible job straight to his face. I, Venmo Matthew Martinez, $1500 and then I asked for a refund because he did such a bad job he would not give me a refund he said that he did a good job. the whole trial I was telling him exactly what to say and exactly what to mention he would not take my advice and he would not mention what was the most important thing to mention. Mathew Martinez after taking $1500 to represent me twice in a stayaway restraining order case, told me to go ahead and file my own responsive declaration. I don't think that lawyers should be asking their plants to file their own paperwork after accepting their retainer.

We just finished a case for a restraining order and just wanted to stop by to say that Mathew is an amazing Lawyer! We spent days calling around and Mathew was noticeably more knowledgable about the situation, it was easy to notice.

His familiarity with the restraining order process and people involved gave me a lot of assurance that we had found the right person to defend us as well as fight for us.

In the end turned out very well while saving A LOT of time for both of us, merging two cases an doing mediation. He was there to defend me through the process I couldn't be happier with the result, that turned out to better then a restraining order.

If I could change anything about the service, it would be that if we met more to discuss the issue so I could learn how to communicate it a little better, but in the end it didn't matter. I didn't even need that type of preparation.
