This is going to sound like a fake review but it's not. I'm just a very happy client who wants to thank my attorney from the bottom of my heart.

Having to hire an attorney is scary, whether you're bringing an action in family court or responding to papers served on you. So much seems to be at stake, and I didn't have a clue what to do when I got served at work, completely out of the blue, and as late as legally possible, giving me just days to file response papers. I found Kara based on a recommendation from another attorney.

I could not have chosen a better attorney than Kara to handle my family court matter, and I watched in court as it became clear to everyone that my ex could not have selected a worse attorney to represent him. From the beginning, Kara was warm, empathetic, completely knowledgeable, and always thoroughly prepared. She remembered details I had told her that even I later forgot about.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, she is highly professional, highly ethical, and because of those traits, she is highly respected. In court before the judge, Kara was focused, prepared, calm and reasonable, while my ex's male attorney was embarrassingly unprepared, emotional and angry, dishonest, and bombastic. Even though I was the one dragged into court, I ended up winning on EVERY SINGLE ISSUE brought before the judge. I almost felt bad for my ex, because he was so terribly represented by an attorney who is supposedly a big Sonoma County family law expert.

Regarding the other review saying "don't go here if you are a man," that's hogwash. Good attorneys are good attorneys, period. I'm so glad I found Kara before my ex husband did! I have no doubt Kara would represent any and every client as exceptionally as she represented me. Sometimes people, especially people caught up in family court matters, can't hear the sound counsel of an attorney for what it is - advice. Kara won't take your side just to be on your side - she'll let you know how she thinks the Court will hear the issue, and that it won't always be in your favor. I'd rather know that kind of information going in than be fed false promises by a less ethical attorney.

Bring kaia home! How could you allow her mentally and clinically ill father custody and not allow her to see her mother who has been her sole caregiver thus far? You are going to ruin that little girls life if you haven’t already! Corrupt as can be what a horrible thing to do
