I benefited from the fact that Suzanne Tong and Jennifer Saslaw were incredibly responsive from a timing perspective and very knowledgeable from a legal perspective. My issue was one that was very time sensitive and ultimately required me to file an ex parte motion (which was granted) as to whether my daughter should fly across the country to CA for a planned visit with her mother. Because of the novel nature of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the question which I faced was one that had never presented itself in family law before, given the circumstances. I enlisted the services of Moradi Saslaw to help with two different issues. The first and most difficult was in resolving a dispute related to spousal and child support in my divorce. My ex and I originally retained a mediator to produce our MSA and everything was "amicable" until suddenly it was not. Ms. Moradi looked over the original agreement, found and fixed several ambiguities and helped me abide by the settlement terms. I was never interested in hurting or denying anything to my ex, but at the same time i did not want to be taken advantage of. Kiana helpled me gain a good understanding of the law and produced an addendum to the MSA clearly stating the terms for support . Once my ex and I signed off on that everything settled down and we could both go back to our normal lives.

The second more enjoyable task was in setting up a pre-nup. Having already been through the wringer there was no way on God's green earth i was going into a 2nd marriage without laying out the financial implications up front. Kiana was great throughout this process. She helped me understand all the components involved and the trade-offs for each. We ended up with a fairly simple agreement protecting both me and my new spouse (that I sincerely hope will never be needed).
